Launched in 1985, the Canadian Journal of Women and the Law/Revue Femmes et Droit is the only Canadian periodical devoted entirely to the publication and dissemination of multi-disciplinary scholarship in the expanding field of women's legal studies. The CJWL is incorporated as a non-profit organization with charitable status. The CJWL's readership includes lawyers, judges, law students, academics, government officials and others interested in women's equality. The CJWL's mandate is to provide an outlet for those wishing to explore the impact of law on women's social, economic and legal status, and on the general conditions of their lives. The Journal promotes the expansion of women's legal scholarship into new areas of research and study, and it aims to increase the volume and improve the accessibility of legal scholarship by Canadian women, on specifically Canadian topics. Finally, the CJWL seeks to provide an important tool for activists, academics and others engaged in research and law reform efforts on behalf of women.

Engineering Geology is an international interdisciplinary journal bridging the fields of engineering geology, geomorphology, structural geology, geophysics, geotechnics, geochemistry, and geology. Geological studies must show relevance to engineering, environmental concerns, and safety.Topics of interest include hot-waste storage, groundwater rehabilitation, landscape planning, natural hazards (seismicity, hydrology, geomorphology, subsidence, slope stability), pollution and contamination, and remote sensing techniques including LiDAR.Paper types considered shall be original research articles, case histories, and comprehensive reviews. Case studies, in particular, should emphasize why the paper is of interest to the international readership of this journal, and/or what new or novel research or analytical methods are being presented.The journal is intended for academic scientists, industry and applied researchers, and policy and decision makers.

The issues addressed include the quality of response of materials, body structures and energy-absorbing systems subjected to sudden dynamic loading, focussing on new crashworthy structures, new concepts in restraint systems and realistic accident reconstruction. Articles reflect the importance of computer modelling, as well as the development of human surrogates in impact simulation and prediction of vehicle and passenger response. Papers on impact biomechanics, covering human response, mechanics of injury and occupant protection in general, are also published. International Journal of Crashworthiness publishes both original research papers (full papers and short communications) and state-of-the-art reviews. All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.

The International Journal of Technology and Design Education encourages research and scholarly writing covering all aspects of technology and design education. The journal features critical, review, and comparative studies. In addition, readers will find contributions that draw upon other fields such as historical, philosophical, sociological, or psychological studies that address issues of concern to technology and design education. The Editorial Board views the teaching of technology and design as an emergent rather than an established practice, with many open issues requiring research. Among these issues are the preparation of technology teachers, the assessment of technological competence, and the relationship of technology to other curriculum elements, notably science. There are also significant policy questions that need to be addressed relating to the practice and rationale of curriculum change.

The Journal of Islamic Studies is a multi-disciplinary publication dedicated to the scholarly study of all aspects of Islam and of the Islamic world. The Journal of Genetic Psychology is devoted to research and theory in developmental psychology across the life span. We accept submissions in the areas of educational and cross-cultural comparative psychology if they are developmental in nature. The major thrust of the journal is empirical research and the exposition and criticism of theory; however, applied and descriptive articles are occasionally accepted, as are briefly reported replications and refinements, selected book review essays, and reviews of the literature. Prospective authors may submit a manuscript as a Brief Report. Brief Reports are limited to 10 double-spaced manuscript pages including the abstract, text, references, and all figures and tables. The maximum page length for all other submissions is 35 double-spaced manuscript pages including the abstract, text, references, and all figures and tables.
