Journal of Great Lakes Research

ISSN: 0380-1330eISSN: 2773-0719

The Journal of Great Lakes Research is multidisciplinary in its coverage, publishing manuscripts on a wide range of theoretical and applied topics in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, and geology of the large lakes of the world and their watersheds. We also welcome contributions on saline lakes. Research on estuarine waters may be considered if the results have application to large lakes. Large lakes generally are considered as those lakes which have a mean surface area of >500 km2 (see Herdendorf, C.E. 1982. Large lakes of the world. J. Great Lakes Res. 8:379-412, for examples), although smaller lakes may be considered, including very deep lakes. For example, the Journal has published papers on the Finger Lakes and, more recently, on Quesnel Lake in British Columbia.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Platelets is an international, fully peer-reviewed journal covering all aspects of platelet-related research. The Journal publishes original articles, review articles and correspondence on blood platelets and platelet-related areas with a view to providing a focus for new information on all aspects of this important blood component.Platelets provides the opportunity for contributors and readers from all scientific several disciplines to engage with progress on platelet function, biochemistry, signal transduction, pharmacology and therapeutics, interaction with other cells in the blood vessel wall, and the contribution of platelets and platelet-derived products to health and disease. From September 2009, in addition to the usual reviews and research articles, there is a new Methods section. This will become a unique feature of Platelets. With the growing complexity and enormous range of different methodologies involved in research on platelets, coupled with increasing utility of new technologies, we envisage that this section will be of huge benefit to platelet researchers worldwide. This should not only improve standardization between laboratories but provide up-to-date and detailed descriptions of both old and new methods that are often difficult to replicate and may thus help to resolve controversies in the field.*© Thomson ISI Journal Citation Reports® 2012.

Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy

ISSN: 2040-5790eISSN: 2040-5804

Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy publishes articles that achieve two objectives: to synthesize, integrate and analyze areas of current applied economic research within the mission of the AAEA in order to inform the decision-making and policy-making community; and to stimulate linkages between sub-fields of agricultural and applied economics in a way that illuminates and focuses future research and increases knowledge among researchers about the impact of public policy. The journal’s aim is to reframe the breadth of available technical economic literature to inform future economic research and broader audiences by presenting high quality agricultural and applied economic research in a way that is generally accessible. In each issue of the journal, at least two perspectives articles, specifically solicited by the editors, focus on selected themes of interest, alongside which are published submitted articles. Proposals for themes are encouraged, and should be sent to the editor responsible for perspectives articles. The mission of the AAEA is to enhance the skills, knowledge, and professional contributions of economists who help society solve agricultural, development, environmental, food and consumer, natural resource, regional, rural, and associated applied economics and business problems.

Behavioral Sciences

Bioengineering (ISSN 2306-5354) provides an advanced forum for the science and technology of bioengineering. It publishes original research papers, comprehensive reviews, communications and case report. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. All aspects of bioengineering are welcomed from theoretical concepts to education and applications. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, four unique features of this Journal:, , We are introducing a new concept in scientific and technical publications “The Translational Case Report in Bioengineering”. It is a descriptive explanatory analysis of a transformative or translational event. Understanding that the goal of bioengineering scholarship is to advance towards a transformative or clinical solution to an identified transformative/clinical need, the translational case report is used to explore causation in order to find underlying principles that may guide other similar transformative/translational undertakings., Manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed., Electronic files and software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material., We also accept manuscripts communicating to a broader audience with regard to research projects financed with public funds.

Netnomics

ISSN: 1385-9587eISSN: 1573-7071

The journal Netnomics is intended to be an outlet for research in electronic networking as well as in network economics. As more and more transactions are carried out electronically, important economic issues and problems arise. A network-based real-time macroeconomy has emerged with its own set of economic characteristics, creating a wealth of opportunities for economic research as well as important linkages to information systems. Topics that could be addressed are pricing schemes for electronic services, electronic trading systems, data mining and high-frequency online data as well as big data, real-time forecasting, filtering, economic software agents, distributed database applications, electronic money and tickets, and many more. Evidently, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Moreover, we attempt to disclose important research questions in the field of network economics. This may reflect networks in their widest sense regarding, for instance, telecommunications, electronic networks, supply chain networks, networks in traffic and transportation such as the airline and maritime shipping industries, or even electricity networks and smart grids. Papers of Netnomics describe cutting edge research and applications in these areas.
