ISSN: 0899-0220eISSN: 1369-1651

Somatosensory & Motor Research publishes original, high-quality papers that encompass the entire range of investigations related to the neural bases for somatic sensation, somatic motor function, somatic motor integration, and modeling thereof. Comprising anatomical, physiological, biochemical, pharmacological, behavioural, and psychophysical studies, Somatosensory & Motor Research covers all facets of the peripheral and central processes underlying cutaneous sensation, and includes studies relating to afferent and efferent mechanisms of deep structures (e.g., viscera, muscle). Studies of motor systems at all levels of the neuraxis are covered, but reports restricted to non-neural aspects of muscle generally would belong in other journals. Experimental and descriptive studies in all animals, including humans, are emphasized; clinical case reports and neuropathological findings are encouraged when they are of general interest in elucidating somatosensory and motor mechanisms.

Microchemical Journal

ISSN: 0026-265XeISSN: 1095-9149

The Microchemical Journal is a peer reviewed journal devoted to all aspects and phases of analytical chemistry and chemical analysis. The Microchemical Journal publishes articles which are at the forefront of modern analytical chemistry and cover innovations in the techniques to the finest possible limits. This includes fundamental aspects, instrumentation, new developments, innovative and novel methods and applications including environmental and clinical field.Traditional classical analytical methods such as spectrophotometry and titrimetry as well as established instrumentation methods such as flame and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, gas chromatography, and modified glassy or carbon electrode electrochemical methods will be considered, provided they show significant improvements and novelty compared to the established methods. The journal does not consider routine analytical method development in such areas as pharmaceutical samples, chromatography, minor incremental changes such as sample preparation and pre-concentration for electrochemical, chromatography and spectrochemical methods. Methods considered will not be waters or situations where the methods cannot determine the molecules or metals of interest in real samples and depends on spikes, or simply using standard chemometric methods. Fragmentation of work is strongly discouraged. The journal was established in the late 1950's as a journal devoted to the rapidly developing field of microchemistry. As the area of microchemistry has evolved into analyses in microgram masses and microvolumes (and lower), lower detection limits, and more sophisticated and compact instrumentation, the Microchemical Journal has continued to evolve and change with this growing and expanding area, covering now analytical chemical research in its broadest sense. The journal has published numerous special issues devoted to topics and well as selected conferences. The journal also considers original reviews.

International Journal of Political Economy

ISSN: 0891-1916eISSN: 1558-0970

The International Journal of Political Economy is an international peer reviewed journal that publishes scholarly research in all traditions of political economy. Founded in 1971 by the well-known Marxist political economist, Paul Mattick, who is celebrated for having explored connections between the Marxist and Keynesian approaches to political economy, it has evolved from being originally a translation journal that strove to make available scholarly work from former socialist countries to one that now seeks to build bridges among various schools of political economy that stand in opposition to mainstream neoclassical economics. The journal welcomes individual contributions from a critical perspective, as well as suggestions for special thematic issues in all fields of political economy internationally.

Editor: Mario Seccareccia (University of Ottawa) (mseccare@uottawa.ca)

“For international researchers, this journal is an opening into a world too-long neglected by other publications.  Its international focus has helped bridge a gap that has often limited analyses and empirical work on national markets and economies because the increasingly global setting for developments has been ignored.”
Jane D’Arista, University of Massachusetts at Amherst

“Perhaps the most stimulating and venturesome economics journal anywhere. One of the few that integrates first rate economic theory and empirical work on questions of urgent concern in the real world. It's international focus and ability to draw leading researchers from many countries are unique.”

Thomas Ferguson, University of Massachusetts at Boston

"The International Journal of Political Economy is an important, timely and influential journal."

James K. Galbraith, University of Texas at Austin

Acta Linguistica Hafniensia

ISSN: 0374-0463eISSN: 1949-0763

Acta Linguistica Hafniensia evolved as the voice of the Linguistic Circle of Copenhagen. Our aim today is both to carry forward that tradition, emphasizing areas such as functional linguistics, cognitive linguistics, and sociolinguistics, but also phonology and formal linguistics, in all of which vigorous research is being carried out by Danish linguists, while at the same time expanding the international scope of the journal as a broad journal of General Linguistics. One of the ways in which we seek to pursue this dual aim is to alternate regular issues of the journal with thematic issues based on workshops organized by the Linguistic Circle in which articles by both Danish and international participants are presented on related subjects.
