Metallography, Microstructure, and Analysis

ISSN: 2192-9262eISSN: 2192-9270

The journal Metallography, Microstructure, and Analysis publishes original, peer-reviewed research articles on engineered materials, which are defined as both processed and inorganic. The journal focuses on the art and science of preparing, interpreting, and analyzing microstructures for the purpose of understanding material behavior and performance, and serves as a forum for engineers and scientists to exchange the latest information regarding the evolution of microstructures in a variety of materials.

Topics focus on the role of microstructure in engineering processes and materials properties. Specifically, the journal publishes contributions that discuss the ways in which microstructures can influence, or arise from:

1) Mechanical and thermal processing of metals, alloys, and ceramics  2) Environmental degradation (such as oxidation and corrosion)3) Welding, casting, and solidification processes4) Additive or digital manufacturing techniques 5) Failure of engineering structures, and6) Electronic materials.

In addition to these general topics, the journal covers a wide range of more specialized materials science and metallurgy issues, such as the characterization of building materials, archaeometallurgy, high-strain-rate phenomena, tribological surfaces and interfaces, superplasticity, and radiation effects. Also of interest are new and alternative techniques for microstructural examination and analysis (including metallography, ceramography, and microscopy), computer-aided microstructural analysis, and techniques for physical and chemical analysis as they relate to microstructure.

Contributions that present a complete treatment of a microstructure, from its formation to preparation techniques to interpretation and analysis, are especially of interest to the journal.

Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding

ISSN: 1750-2977eISSN: 1750-2985

Aims & Scope

The Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding is a cross-disciplinary journal devoted to critical analysis of international intervention, focussing on interactions and practices that shape, influence and transform states and societies. In 21st century political practice, states and other actors increasingly strive to transplant what they see as normatively progressive political orders to other contexts. Accordingly, JISB focuses on the complex interconnections and mutually shaping interactions between donor and recipient communities within military, economic, social, or other interventional contexts, and welcomes perspectives on political life of, and beyond, European state-building processes.
The journal brings together academics and practitioners from cross-disciplinary backgrounds, including international relations, political science, political economy, sociology, international law, social anthropology, geography, and regional studies. The editors are particularly interested in specific or comparative in-depth analyses of contemporary or historical interventions and state-building processes that are grounded in careful fieldwork and/or innovative methodologies. Multi or cross-disciplinary contributions and theoretically challenging pieces that broaden the study of intervention and state building to encompass processes of decision-making, or the complex interplay between actors on the ground, are especially encouraged.

Peer Review
All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous double-blind peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.

American Communist History

ISSN: 1474-3892eISSN: 1474-3906

American Communist History is a non-partisan, objective journal for scholarship about the history of the Communist Party in the United States and its social, political, economic and cultural impact on its members, on its opponents, and the public at large. The journal deals with the American party and with the various outside influences which have dealt with its representation, with the controversial folklore that has been engendered about it, and with the many differing views about its antecedents, and its diverse opponents on the Left and Right. While rooted in the United States, the journal welcomes contributions which are transnational or international in scope. Despite the end of the Cold War, there is still enormous controversy about the range of Communist influence on all aspects of American life. This peer-reviewed journal of the Historians of American Communism makes available scholarship on the role of American Communism and Communists since the Party’s founding at the end of the First World War. Seeking the broadest possible perspective the journal seeks submissions not only from academic historians but from other scholars, journalists, and activists who can objectively contribute to a complex, intriguing, and important history. Research articles, notes and documents, interpretive essays, and short memoirs are welcome. The journal is committed to media reviews. We stress both the domestic sphere and the global one. American Communist History deals in detail with the various interpretations defining the role of the Communist Party, its front groups, its opponents, and Soviet agents in the United States within and on the Left and the Right. What the journal publishes is limited only by the curiosity of potential contributors and the need for quality. We wish to enhance the knowledge of issue-laden, often partisan, developments in a useful, professional, and intelligent way. American Communist History deals not only with Communism in the U.S., but with all aspects of its influence and the forces that influenced it.

Journal of Internet Commerce

ISSN: 1533-2861eISSN: 1533-287X

The business world has undergone many changes because of information technology, and the impact of the Internet may cause one of the biggest yet. While many people use the Internet for educational and entertainment purposes, organizations and companies are looking for ways to tie their internal networks to this global network to conduct electronic commerce. While companies have been conducting business electronically with suppliers and customers for many years, conducting online commerce via the Internet offers even greater opportunities for multinational, national, and even small businesses to cut costs, improve efficiency, and reach a global market. According to some, the Internet will "drive the economy into the next century." Numerous companies already conduct business on the Internet while others scramble to create a presence and catch up. The ability to conduct business anywhere at anytime with anybody who has access to the Internet is definitely moving society a little closer to the "global village" concept that has been touted as a future way of life. More importantly, it is changing the face of business and commerce. Because of the significance of the impact of the Internet on business and organizations, the Journal of Internet Commerce174; is devoted to publishing articles that discuss issues vital to conducting electronic commerce on the Internet. Additionally, the journal will also solicit and publish manuscripts dealing with educational issues related to Internet commerce. Thus, the purpose of the Journal of Internet Commerce174; is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners for publishing high-quality materials and discussing issues related to conducting business on the Internet. Because of the global nature of the Internet, the journal is international in nature and will publish articles on international issues as well as country-specific research. Important issues include, but are not limited to, the impact of the Internet on all aspects of commerce, organizations, and the decision-making framework within an organization. Additional issues include adoption and implementation of Internet technology, assessment, security, and strategic considerations related to Internet commerce. Researchers studying these and other related issues are encouraged to submit manuscripts directly to the editor. Manuscripts will undergo a blind, peer-review process consisting of at least two reviewers. With peer-reviewed research studies, cases, and practitioner experiences, the Journal of Internet Commerce174; hopes to provide an outlet for sharing knowledge and experiences related to conducting business on the Internet. The intention of the journal is to provide a source of information that will bring practitioners and academicians together as the dynamic technology of the Internet continues to change the many aspects of commerce.
