Originally founded by Evariste Le´vi-Provenc¸al in 1954 as an organ for French arabists, Arabica has now become a multidisciplinary academic journal, with an international editorial board representing various fields of research. It is dedicated to the study of the Arab world's classical and contemporary literatures, languages, history, thought and civilization. From a wider perspective, Arabica is open to the general fields of Islamicate studies and intercultural relations between Arab societies and the other cultural areas throughout history. It actively endeavors to participate in the development of new scholarly approaches and problematics. In addition to original research articles in English and French (preferably), Arabica also publishes 'notes and documents', book reviews, and occasionally academic debates in its 'methods and debates' section. Special issues may deal with a specific theme, or publish the proceedings of a conference.

Clinical & Experimental Allergy strikes an excellent balance between clinical and scientific articles and carries regular reviews and editorials written by leading authorities in their field. Invertebrate Reproduction & Development (IRD) presents original research articles and notes on the reproductive and developmental biology of the Invertebrata, both embryonic and postembryonic. IRD welcomes papers reporting significant results obtained using new techniques. Encouraged topic areas include: physiology, biochemistry, functional morphology, phylogeny, behavioural and regulatory mechanisms, including genetic, endocrine and molecular studies.The journal publishes penetrating and provocative reviews, mini reviews, research papers, announcements and proceedings. New techniques and perspectives are particularly welcome. The journal also welcomes short reports on 'hot' articles appearing in the current literature. The main criteria for acceptance of subject reviews and research papers are originality, scientific rigour and appeal to the readership. All authors must ensure that all necessary permissions have been obtained for reproducing any other copyright material.

The development of new anticancer agents is one of the most rapidly changing aspects of cancer research. Investigational New Drugs provides a forum for the rapid dissemination of information on new anticancer agents. The papers published are of interest to the medical chemist, toxicologist, pharmacist, pharmacologist, biostatistician and clinical oncologist. Investigational New Drugs provides the fastest possible publication of new discoveries and results for the whole community of scientists developing anticancer agents.

Each issue contains original articles dealing with anticancer drug development. Other sections are devoted to invited review articles and letters to the editor. The journal also affords the opportunity to publish the proceedings of special workshops and symposia devoted to the development of new anticancer agents. Provided they add to the understanding of the investigational agents, the journal is not adverse to publishing clinical trials with negative results.

The Italian Journal of Animal Science is an international peer-reviewed open access journal publishing original scientific papers, reviews and short communications on animal science, animal production and related areas. The journal welcomes submissions on the following subjects:

The Journal of Early Christian History aims to contribute to scholarship in early Christian and Byzantine studies by publishing high quality research articles, review articles and book reviews. The journal aspires to approach the field of early Christian and Byzantine studies from new perspectives, welcoming studies incorporating various methodologies, contextual trajectories and interdisciplinary research. The journal especially wishes to promote research in these fields within a South African and wider African context, but not neglecting the international scholarly community. It therefore publishes individually submitted articles, articles resulting from research projects and also conference proceedings. Articles and reviews from the following disciplines are covered by the scope of the journal: New Testament Studies; Patristics and Late Ancient Studies; Byzantine Studies. The aim of JPEM is to diffuse speedily new medical information by publishing clinical investigations in pediatric endocrinology and basic research with relevance to clinical pediatric endocrinology and metabolism from all over the world. JPEM is the only international journal dedicated exclusively to endocrinology in the neonatal, pediatric and adolescent age groups. Toxicologie Analytique et Clinique is an international peer-reviewed journal essentially devoted to analytical and clinical toxicology, covering all of the following aspects: clinical, forensic, environmental, occupational medicine, doping, addiction, alternative matrices, and quality assurance.
