Melanoma Research fosters the development of translational research. It promotes the informational exchange between those engaged in the field. The Journal encourages an informed and balanced view of experimental and clinical research, and stimulates the communication and exchange of knowledge between investigators with differing areas of expertise. The Journal presents a coherent and up-to-date account of all aspects of investigations pertinent to melanoma. Consequently, the scope of the Journal is broad, embracing the entire range of studies from fundamental and applied research in such subject areas as genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, photobiology, pathology and immunology, and advances in clinical oncology influencing the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of melanoma. Melba (The Journal of Machine Learning for Biomedical Imaging) is a web-based journal devoted to the free and unrestricted access of high quality articles in the broad field that bridges machine learning and biomedical imaging. Melba’s aims include:

• to be a top tier publication venue for journal-length articles in its scope;
• to provide recognition of meritorious scholarship;
• to provide curated content that will help researchers keep abreast of rapid developments;
• to incentivize and to support the sharing of resources, including code and data;
• to empower authors with copyrights to their own work (all articles are published under the CC BY 4.0 license);
• to encourage a constructive, rigorous, and streamlined review process that enables authors to improve their articles;
• to offer unrestricted and free access to readers;
• to recognize the efforts of reviewers; and
• to minimize the financial burden on authors by leveraging web-based technologies.

The first periodical published within the Law School at The University of Melbourne was The Summons. It appeared with the subtitle ‘A Magazine of Legal and General Literature', and was published by the Articled Law Clerks' Society of Victoria between 1891 and 1903. The Summons was a yellow covered 16-page journal depicting an angel with a trumpet and served as more of a current affairs magazine than an academic journal. It published reports of moots and discussed topical issues, which at the time included the fusion of the two branches of the Victorian legal profession and the admission of women.

Membranes (ISSN 2077-0375) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal of separation science and technology. It publishes reviews, research articles, communications and technical notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure - if unable to be published in a normal way - can be deposited as supplementary material
