Cor et Vasa, the journal of the Czech Society of Cardiology and Czech Society for Cardiovascular Surgery, publishes 6 times a year and covers all aspects of cardiology, angiology, cardiovascular surgery, cardiovascular imaging, pediatric cardiology, hypertension, cardiovascular prevention and some aspects of interventional radiology. It features editorials, review articles and original research as well as preliminary, fast-track and special communications (clinical and experimental). In 2012, Cor et Vasa began to publish short (5000 words) summaries from the European Society of Cardiology guidelines, with each being prepared by leading Czech experts in the field. The regular Cor et Vasa supplement "Kardio" publishes book reviews, abstracts and reports from selected congresses , polls, discussions, polemics, comments, as well as information from the Czech Society of Cardiology, Czech Society for Cardiovascular Surgery and the European Society of Cardiology. It also includes a variety of topical international news items. The journal publishes in two versions with the same content: one of which being the on-line version of Cor et Vasa which is published completely in English, whilst the other printed version is largely in Czech (the manuscripts from the English version are translated into Czech by local experts).

Cretaceous Research provides a forum for the rapid publication of research on all aspects of the Cretaceous Period, including its boundaries with the Jurassic and Tertiary. Authoritative papers reporting detailed investigations of Cretaceous stratigraphy and palaeontology, studies of regional geology, and reviews of recently published books are complemented by short communications of significant new findings.Papers submitted to Cretaceous Research should place the research in a broad context, with emphasis placed towards our better understanding of the Cretaceous, that are therefore of interest to the diverse, international readership of the journal. Full length papers that focus solely on a local theme or area will not be accepted for publication; authors of short communications are encouraged to discuss how their findings are of relevance to the Cretaceous on a broad scale.Research Areas include:• Regional geology• Stratigraphy and palaeontology• Palaeobiology• Palaeobiogeography• Palaeomagnetism and geophysics• Geochronology• Global events (K/Pg boundary)• Oil exploration and petroleum geology.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Critical Perspectives on Accounting aims to provide a forum for the growing number of accounting researchers and practitioners who realize that conventional theory and practice is ill-suited to the challenges of the modern environment, and that accounting practices and corporate behavior are inextricably connected with many allocative, distributive, social, and ecological problems of our era. From such concerns, a new literature is emerging that seeks to reformulate corporate, social, and political activity, and the theoretical and practical means by which we apprehend and affect that activity.Research Areas Include:• Studies involving the political economy of accounting, critical accounting, radical accounting, and accounting's implication in the exercise of power• Financial accounting's role in the processes of international capital formation, including its impact on stock market stability and international banking activities• Management accounting's role in organizing the labor process• The relationship between accounting and the state in various social formations• Studies of accounting's historical role, as a means of "remembering" the subject's social and conflictual character• The role of accounting in establishing "real" democracy at work and other domains of life• Accounting's adjudicative function in international exchanges, such as that of the Third World debt• Antagonisms between the social and private character of accounting, such as conflicts of interest in the audit process• The identification of new constituencies for radical and critical accounting information• Accounting's involvement in gender and class conflicts in the workplace• The interplay between accounting, social conflict, industrialization, bureaucracy, and technocracy• Reappraisals of the role of accounting as a science and technology• Critical reviews of "useful" scientific knowledge about organizationsBenefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. The Editors of Crop Protection especially welcome papers describing an interdisciplinary approach showing how different control strategies can be integrated into practical pest management programs, covering high and low input agricultural systems worldwide. Crop Protection particularly emphasizes the practical aspects of control in the field and for protected crops, and includes work which may lead in the near future to more effective control. The journal does not duplicate the many existing excellent biological science journals, which deal mainly with the more fundamental aspects of plant pathology, applied zoology and weed science. Crop Protection covers all practical aspects of pest, disease and weed control, including the following topics:Abiotic damageAgronomic control methodsAssessment of pest and disease damageBiological control Biorational pesticidesControl of animal pests of world cropsControl of diseases of crop plants caused by microorganismsControl of weeds and integrated management Economic and social considerationsEffects of plant growth regulatorsEnvironmental benefits of reduced pesticide useEnvironmental effects of pesticidesEpidemiology of pests and diseases in relation to controlFood safetyGM Crops, and genetic engineering applicationsImportance and control of postharvest crop lossesIntegrated controlInterrelationships and compatibility among different control strategiesInvasive species as they relate to implications for crop protectionPesticide application methodsPest managementResistance managementSampling and monitoring schemes for diseases, nematodes, pests and weeds. The editors of Crop Protection invite workers concerned with pest, disease and weed control to submit suitable contributions on any topic falling within the aims and scope of the journal.
