This peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishes original case reports covering the entire spectrum of ophthalmology, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, supportive care, and quality-of-life issues. Case Reports in Ophthalmology provides clinicians and researchers with a platform to disseminate their findings to a broader ophthalmology community. In addition to single case studies, the journal also accepts papers discussing case series and case reports dealing with the use of novel technologies, both in the area of diagnosis and treatment. Submission of negative results may be considered. Supplementary material is welcomed.
The scope reflects the comprehensive nature of women's health and includes not only the core areas of OBGYN, but also the key subspecialty areas. The journal will cover eight specialties:
Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions is an international journal covering the broad field of cardiovascular diseases. Subject material includes basic and clinical information that is derived from or related to invasive and interventional coronary or peripheral vascular techniques. The journal focuses on material that will be of immediate practical value to physicians providing patient care in the clinical laboratory setting. To accomplish this, the journal publishes Preliminary Reports and Work In Progress articles that complement the traditional Original Studies, Case Reports, and Comprehensive Reviews. Perspective and insight concerning controversial subjects and evolving technologies are provided regularly through Editorial Commentaries furnished by members of the Editorial Board and other experts. Articles are subject to double-blind peer review and complete editorial evaluation prior to any decision regarding acceptability.
Cell Biochemistry and Function is a print and online journal that publishes original research articles and reviews on the mechanisms whereby molecular and biochemical processes control cellular activity with a particular emphasis on the integration of molecular and cell biology, biochemistry and physiology in the regulation of tissue function in health and disease. The primary remit of the journal is on mammalian biology both in vivo and in vitro but studies of cells in situ are especially encouraged. Observational and pathological studies will be considered providing they include a rational discussion of the possible molecular and biochemical mechanisms behind them and the immediate impact of these observations to our understanding of mammalian biology. Areas of particular interest include:
Cell Biochemistry and Biophysics fosters progress in comprehending the nature of the biochemical and biophysical mechanisms underlying the control of cellular physiological homeostasis and the consequences of its perturbation. Reports span the disciplines of modern biochemistry and chemistry, biophysics and cell physiology, physics and engineering, molecular and structural biology and the medical sciences. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between molecular structure and the nature of the specific property/function under investigation. CBB publishes articles describing the quantitative utilization of and innovative developments in: genetic and biomolecular engineering; computer analysis of tissues, cells, cell networks, organelles, and molecular/macromolecular assemblies; research in and development of photometric, spectroscopic, microscopic, mechanical, and electrical methodologies/techniques in analytical cytology and cytometry, as well as innovation in instrument design.
Cell Death & Disease is a peer-reviewed open access online journal that will publish full-length papers, reviews and commentaries describing original research in the field of translational cell death. It seeks to promote diverse and integrated areas of Experimental and Internal Medicine with its specialities, including Cancer, Immunity and Neuroscience.Cell Death & Disease seeks to encompass the breadth of translational implications of cell death, and topics of particular concentration will include, but are not limited to, the following:* Experimental medicine* Cancer* Immunity* Internal medicine* Neuroscience.
Cell Reports Medicine is a premium open-access journal from Cell Press publishing cutting-edge research in translational and clinical biomedical sciences that inform and influence human health and medicine.
The content published in Cell Reports Medicine reaches a broad range of scientists and clinicians across the spectrum of medical disciplines, ensuring that your work will be both visible and accessible. The journal publishes original research that ranges from exciting concepts in human biology, health, and disease to all phases of clinical work. We encourage submissions featuring innovative ideas that open up new directions in clinical research and practice, as well as studies that provide critical information that enriches our understanding of current standards of care in diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. This includes, but is not limited to, translational studies, clinical trials in all areas of medicine including long-term trial follow-ups as well as work in genomics, biomarker discovery, and developments in technology that contribute to diagnostics, treatment, and healthcare. Studies based on vertebrate model organisms also fall within the scope of the journal, provided that the results are directly relevant to human health and disease.
<<Message from JSCB>>The online publication of this journal is supported in part by a Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Results from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
The journal’s scope includes systems at all scales8212;from molecules, pathways, cells, and tissues to whole organisms, populations, and ecosystems8212;and a diversity of traditional disciplines, including but not limited to microbiology, cancer, immunology, plant biology, computational biology, genomics, proteomics, translational medicine, digital healthcare, biological engineering, and systems and synthetic biology.
In addition to peer-reviewed research,
Cell Transplantation publishes original, peer-reviewed research and review articles on the subject of cell transplantation and its application to human diseases. To ensure high-quality contributions from all areas of transplantation, separate section editors and editorial boards have been established. Articles deal with a wide range of topics including physiological, medical, preclinical, tissue engineering, and device-oriented aspects of transplantation of nervous system, endocrine, growth factor-secreting, bone marrow, epithelial, endothelial, and genetically engineered cells, among others. Basic clinical studies and immunological research papers are also featured. To provide complete coverage of this revolutionary field, Cell Transplantation will report on relevant technological advances, and ethical and regulatory considerations of cell transplants. Cell Transplantation is now an Open Access journal starting with volume 18 in 2009, and therefore there will be an inexpensive publication charge, which is dependent on the number of pages, in addition to the charge for color figures. This will allow work to be disseminated to a wider audience and also entitle the corresponding author to a free PDF, as well as prepublication of an unedited version of the manuscript.
