Current Topics in Nutraceutical Research (ISSN 1540-7535) is an international, interdisciplinary broad based peer reviewed scientific journal for critical evaluation of research on nutraceuticals. The major goal of this journal is to provide peer reviewed unbiased scientific data to students, researchers, healthcare providers, and the decision makers in the nutraceutical industry to help make informed choices about nutraceuticals. To this end, the journal will publish two types of review articles. First, a review of preclinical research data coming largely from animal, cell culture and other experimental models. Such data will provide basis for future product development and/or human research initiatives. Second, a critical evaluation of current human experimental data to help market and deliver the products for only medically proven use.
European Journal of Clinical Nutrition (EJCN) is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing articles related to human and clinical nutrition. The scope of the journal includes publishing Original Articles, Invited Reviews, Systematic Reviews, Clinical Trials papers and Short Communications based on clinical, metabolic and epidemiological studies that describe methodologies, mechanisms, associations and benefits of nutritional interventions for clinical disease and health promotion. Editorials, Letters to the Editor, Response to Letter and Commentaries also feature in EJCN. EJCN also publishes Supplements to the main journal which feature papers from important international expert consultations and proceedings of relevant meetings and conferences.EJCN aims to cover all aspects of human and clinical nutrition: Clinical and whole body metabolic investigations; Epidemiological, social and behavioural studies in nutrition; Nutritional determinants of growth, development and health; Assessment and measurement of nutritional status and indicators, and their relation to function and health; Nutritional causes and effects of disease; Nutritional interventions in clinical practice and in population settings; Community nutrition and education; and Nutrition, population health and health promotion. The European Journal of Nutrition publishes original papers, reviews, and short communications in the nutritional sciences. The manuscripts submitted to the European Journal of Nutrition should have their major focus on the impact of nutrients and non-nutrients on immunology and inflammation, gene expression, metabolism, chronic diseases, or carcinogenesis, or a major focus on epidemiology, including intervention studies with healthy subjects and with patients, food safety, or biofunctionality of food and food components. Papers with a major focus on traditional medicine or food technology will not be accepted. Nor will case studies be accepted. Letters to the editors may be submitted. Letters are expected to provide substantive comments on papers published in the EJN. Both the letter and a reply, if appropriate, are published together whenever possible. An official journal of the Sensometric Society and the official journal of the European Sensory Science SocietyFood Quality and Preference publishes original research, critical reviews, and short communications in sensory and consumer science, and sensometrics. In addition, the journal publishes special invited issues on important timely topics and from relevant conferences. These are aimed at bridging the gap between research and application, bringing together authors and readers in consumer and market research, sensory science, sensometrics and sensory evaluation, nutrition and food choice, as well as food research, product development and sensory quality assurance. Submissions to Food Quality and Preference are limited to papers that include some form of human measurement; papers that are limited to physical/chemical measures or the routine application of sensory, consumer or econometric analysis will not be considered unless they specifically make a novel scientific contribution in line with the journal's coverage as outlined belowThe journal's coverage includes:• Sensory and motivational studies• Food choice studies of cultural, sensory and environmental factors• Innovative consumer and market research• Geographical, cultural and individual differences in food perception and preferences• Expert versus non–expert perception of quality• Mathematical modelling in relation to food acceptability and food quality• Sensometric analyses and models of food sensory and acceptance parameters• Consumer psychology and behavior• Consumer-driven product development• Product experience and contextual influences• Relevant methodological papers on personal care and other consumer productsBenefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Although sport nutrition represents a distinct field of academic and applied work, it receives input from—and makes contributions to—such fields as nutrition, physiology, biochemistry, psychology, clinical medicine, and the sport and exercise sciences. Since its inception, the International Journal of Sport Nutrition provided a forum for those studying sport nutrition from a variety of perspectives. At the same time, exercise biochemists have been studying the metabolic responses and adaptations to physical activity, creating an overlap between the two areas of study. Recognizing the maturity and interdependence of these two scientific disciplines, the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism (IJSNEM) was created. The journal is designed to provide a forum for the publication of both scholarly and applied work relating to the nutritional, biochemical, and molecular aspects of exercise science.IJSNEM publishes original scientific investigations and scholarly reviews offering new insights into sport nutrition and exercise metabolism, as well as articles focusing on the application of the principles of biochemistry, physiology, and nutrition to sport and exercise. Original research with human subjects will be emphasized, although relevant research with experimental animals may be submitted. Case studies that demonstrate systematic, rather than casual, observation made with appropriate instrumentation, and articles with clinical application will be included. The journal will continue to offer editorials, digests of related articles from other fields, research notes, and reviews of books, videos, and other media releases.
