Developmental Psychology® publishes articles that advance knowledge and theory about development across the life span. The journal includes significant empirical contributions as well as scholarly reviews and theoretical or methodological articles. Studies of any aspect of psychological development are appropriate, as are studies of the biological, social, and cultural factors that affect development. The journal welcomes not only laboratory-based experimental studies but studies employing other rigorous methodologies, such as ethnographies, field research, and secondary analyses of large data sets. We especially seek submissions in new areas of inquiry and submissions that will address contradictory findings or controversies in the field as well as the generalizability of extant findings in new populations. Although most articles in this journal address human development, studies of other species are appropriate if they have important implications for human development. Submissions can consist of single manuscripts, proposed sections, or short reports.

Dialectical Anthropology

Dialectical Anthropology is an international journal that seeks to invigorate discussion among left intellectuals by publishing peer-reviewed articles, editorials, letters, reports from the field, political exchanges, and book reviews that foster open debate through criticism, research and commentary from across the social sciences and humanities. We provide a forum for work with a pronounced dialectical approach to social theory and political practice for scholars and activists working in Marxist and broadly political-economic traditions, and those who wish to be in dialogue or debate with these traditions. Since 1975, Dialectical Anthropology has been dedicated to the transformation of class society through internationalizing conversations about the stakes of contemporary crises and the means for social change. Our format is shaped by these goals. Following peer review, accepted manuscripts are sent to select scholars and activists whose comments are published with the article and a reply by the manuscript author. These exchanges aim to provide space for comment, criticism, agreement, and disagreement, about significant issues of our time, from a broad range of perspectives. We also publish timely reports from the field by scholars, activists, and informants. Our 'Dialectical Forum' is dedicated to back-and-forth discussion among scholars and activists. Finally, our book review section rejects the traditional 1000 word format in favour of substantial essays that analyse several books or other significant texts in a dialectical way and contextualize them within contemporary politics, economics, society and culture. We invite contributions from authors interested in raising the level of political engagement internationally and across disciplinary divides and welcome participation by scholars, activists, and commentators from all perspectives seeking discussion about the union of theory and practice towards significant s, ocial change. Dialectical Anthropology is committed to reaching beyond an Anglophone readership and encourages submissions, dialogue and active participation in languages other than English. The journal will publish these submissions to the extent that its resources and capabilities allow. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the Springer Website at http://dial.edmgr.com and should include abstract, five keywords, and three suggested reviewers.

Diaspora Studies is the interdisciplinary journal of the Organisation for Diaspora Initiatives (ODI) and is dedicated to publishing academic research on traditional diasporas and international migrants from the perspective of international relations, economics, politics, identity and history.

The journal focuses specifically on diasporas and migrants as resources for both home and host countries. The scope of the journal includes the role of diasporas and international migration as important drivers in international relations, in development, and within civil societies. The journal welcomes theoretical and empirical contributions on comparative diasporas and state engagement policies, and aims to further scholarship and debate on emerging global networks and transnational identities.

Diaspora, Indigenous, and Minority Education: An International Journal (DIME) 8211; a quarterly peer-reviewed journal focused on critical discourse and research in diaspora, indigenous, and minority education 8211; is dedicated to researching cultural sustainability in a world increasingly consolidating under national, transnational, and global organizations. It aims to draw attention to, and learn from, the many initiatives being conducted around the globe in support of diaspora, indigenous, and minority education, which might otherwise go unnoticed. DIME invites research from a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives that emphasize the centrality of marginal voices and a peripheral gaze, and which draw attention to the complex interrelations between political, economic, historical, and social contexts, as well as the ways in which these various contexts shape educational policies, practices, curricula, and outcomes. The journal welcomes articles that ground theoretical reflections in specific empirical research and case studies of diverse locations and peoples as yet underrepresented within scholarly research and literature, as well as action or participatory research studies of exemplary or 8220;best8221; practices.
