This journal is a translation of papers from the Transactions of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers of Japan, the foremost Japanese publication in the field. Published in three parts (Part I-Communications; Part II-Electronics; Part III-Fundamentals of Electronic Science), the journal covers the entire field of electronic engineering, including circuits and networks; signal and image processing; communication theory and systems; electromagnetic theory; switching, optical, microwave and millimeter-wave technology; quantum electronics; semiconductor technology and integrated circuits; artificial intelligence; and applied mathematics.

Ecological Processes is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It is an international journal devoted to the publication of high quality peer-reviewed research, with coverage spanning all aspects of biological, chemical, physical, and hydrological processes of ecosystem and landscape dynamics across spatial and temporal scales. Certain issues highlight topics of current interest. The contents emphasize techniques, approaches, and concepts, including descriptive, comparative, experimental, mathematical, statistical, and interdisciplinary approaches, and more. Ecological Processes is designed to provide better understanding of the ecosystem processes and landscape processes, and therefore, better management of ecosystems and environments. 

Functions of Language is an international journal of linguistics which explores the functional perspective to the study of language-as-system and of texts-in-context. With special reference to the Prague School and Neo-Firthian functional inheritances, it holds up for discussion theoretical issues and areas of linguistic description relevant to the linguistic community at large, such as: intrinsic and extrinsic functionalism; the interaction between paradigm and syntagm (or #!#!system#!#! and #!#!structure#!#!) in the modelling of linguistic organization, and the quantitative study of system and text, to mention a few. Functions of Language promotes the constructive interaction between theoretical and descriptive findings, and applied research in such fields as educational linguistics, stylistics, translation, artificial intelligence, and communication studies.

Future Microbiology has inevitably been impacted by the genomic revolution. Research into the extreme diversity of microbial organisms will lead to the elucidation of new biologic pathways and gene products, and thus potential therapeutic strategies to combat or prevent infection. The availability of both human and microbial genome sequences will enable scientists to better understand exactly how microbes interact with the hosts they infect, and how an individual’s genetic make-up influences their susceptibility to pathogens. Future Microbiology delivers essential information. Geografiska Annaler, Series B, is a prestigious and international journal publishing articles covering all theoretical and empirical aspects of human and economic geography. The journal has no specific regional profile but some attention is paid to research from the Nordic countries, as well as from countries around the Baltic Sea. Also published by Wiley-Blackwell is Geografiska Annaler, Series A. Together these journals publish articles covering all theoretical and empirical aspects of physical (Series A) and human (Series B) geography. Although published in English, papers still retain a Scandinavian touch.

Geosciences Journal, founded in 1997, is an international journal which publishes geoscientific research articles in English. This journal is published quarterly by the Association of Korean Geoscience Societies which is established jointly by The Geological Society of Korea, Korea Society of Economic and Environmental Geology, The Korean Earth Science Society, The Paleontological Society of Korea, The Mineralogical Society of Korea, Korean Society of Engineering Geology, The Korean Society of Petroleum Geology, Korean Society of Soil and Groundwater Environment, The Petrological Society of Korea and Korea Geophysical Society. * German Life and Letters was founded in 1936 by the distinguished British Germanist L.A. Willoughby and the publisher Basil Blackwell. In its first number the journal described its aim as 'engagement with German culture in its widest aspects: its history, literature, religion, music, art; with German life in general'. German LIfe and Letters has continued over the decades to observe its founding principles of providing an international and interdisciplinary forum for scholarly analysis of German culture past and present.

Health Science Reports is an international, open access journal that publishes research and commentaries covering all medical and health sciences disciplines. The journal welcomes clinical studies, as well as reports on methods and research design, health services and economics, public health, and medical education and practice. Health Science Reports considers all study types such as protocols, research articles, reviews, editorials, clinical perspectives, and meta-analyses. Feasibility studies and negative results are also welcomed.

Healthcare (ISSN 2227-9032) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal (free for readers), which publishes original theoretical and empirical work in the interdisciplinary area of all aspects of medicine and health care research. Healthcare publishes original articles, critical reviews, case reports, research notes and short communications. There is no restriction on the length of the papers as we encourage researchers to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. For theoretical papers, full details of proofs must be provided so that the results can be checked; for experimental papers, full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Additionally, electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculations, experimental procedure, etc., can be deposited along with the publication as “Supplementary Material”.

Heart Failure Reviews is an international journal which develops links between basic scientists and clinical investigators, creating a unique, interdisciplinary dialogue focused on heart failure, its pathogenesis and treatment. The journal accordingly publishes papers in both basic and clinical research fields. Topics covered include clinical and surgical approaches to therapy, basic pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pathology, and electrophysiology.

History and Technology serves as an international forum for research on technology in history. Holocaust and Genocide Studies is the premier forum for work on the extensive body of literature and documentation on the Holocaust and genocide. It features essays and reviews that cut across the disciplines of history, literature, economics, religious studies, anthropology, political science, sociology, and others. HGS is the only publication to address the related study of how insights into the Holocaust apply to other genocides. Published in association with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Human Antibodies is an international journal designed to bring together all aspects of human hybridomas and antibody technology under a single, cohesive theme. This includes fundamental research, applied science and clinical applications. Emphasis in the published articles is on antisera, monoclonal antibodies, fusion partners, EBV transformation, transfections, in vitro immunization, defined antigens, tissue reactivity, scale-up production, chimeric antibodies, autoimmunity, natural antibodies/immune response, anti-idiotypes, and hybridomas secreting interesting growth factors. Immunoregulatory molecules, including T cell hybridomas, will also be featured.

Nutrients (ISSN 2072-6643) is an international, peer-reviewed open access advanced forum for studies related to Human Nutrition. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material we also accept manuscripts communicating to a broader audience with regard to research projects financed with public funds

Nutritional Neuroscience is an international, interdisciplinary broad-based journal for reporting both basic and clinical research in the field of nutrition that relates to the central and peripheral nervous system. Studies may include the role of different components of normal diet (protein, carbohydrate, fat, moderate use of alcohol, etc.), dietary supplements (minerals, vitamins, hormones, herbs, etc.), and food additives (artificial flavours, colours, sweeteners, etc.) on neurochemistry, neurobiology, and behavioural biology of all vertebrate and invertebrate organisms. Ideally this journal will serve as a forum for neuroscientists, nutritionists, neurologists, psychiatrists, and those interested in preventive medicine.

Ocular Oncology and Pathology provides a selection of topical clinical and basic research articles covering the etiology, pathology, diagnostic techniques, imaging features, and advances in medical and surgical treatment of ophthalmic cancers. The focus lies on clinicopathological correlations, evidence-based clinical studies, and translational science. In addition to original research, Ocular Oncology and Pathology features timely reviews on contemporary topics, novel-insight case reports, and letters to ensure that the readers remain up to date with recent advances. The journal is affiliated with the American Association of Ophthalmic Oncologists and Pathologists, the International Society of Ocular Oncology, and the European Ophthalmic Pathology Society.

OPEM is an international and peer-reviewed journal and publishes a variety of articles including original researches, reviews, short communications, and case-reports. OPEM aims to bridging the gap between Traditional knowledge and medical advances. Panoeconomicus is an economic quarterly with a general orientation. We publish original scientific papers, scientific reviews, preliminary reports, conference papers, professional papers, polemics and book reviews.Only original papers not previously published or simultaneously submitted for publishing elsewhere, should be submitted. Submitted papers need to be prepared according to the Panoeconomicus instructions for authors.Panoeconomicus will publish a special issue with papers presented at the 9th International Conference Developments in Economic Theory and Policy, Bilbao (Spain), June 28-29, 2012. Papers of high quality will be considered for this special issue. All submitted papers will be considered for this issue. The selection of the papers will be made by the Scientific Committee of the Conference. The final decision about the papers to be published will be subject to a process of anonymous evaluation.
