Zielsetzung der ZeitschriftDie Zeitschrift Psychotherapeut richtet sich an Ärzte und Psychologen in der Praxis und Klinik, die psychotherapeutische Kompetenz erworben haben oder in Weiterbildung dazu stehen. Psychotherapeut ist inhaltlich schulenunabhängig und fächerübergreifend konzipiert und strebt die Annäherung und fachliche Diskussion der diversen psychotherapeutischen Schulrichtungen an. Praxisorientierte Übersichtsarbeiten greifen ausgewählte Themen auf und bieten dem Leser eine Zusammenstellung aktueller Erkenntnisse aus allen Bereichen der Psychotherapie. Neben der Vermittlung von relevantem Hintergrundwissen liegt der Schwerpunkt dabei auf konkreten Handlungsempfehlungen. Frei eingereichte Originalien ermöglichen die Präsentation wichtiger klinischer Studien und dienen dem wissenschaftlichen Austausch.Beiträge der Rubrik „CME: Weiterbildung – Zertifizierte Fortbildung“ bieten gesicherte Ergebnisse wissenschaftlicher Forschung und machen ärztliche Erfahrung für die tägliche Praxis

Annals of Behavioral Medicine aims to foster the exchange of knowledge derived from the disciplines involved in the field of behavioral medicine, and the integration of biological, psychosocial, and behavioral factors and principles as they relate to such areas as health promotion, disease prevention, risk factor modification, disease progression, adjustment and adaptation to physical disorders, and rehabilitation. To achieve these goals, much of the journal is devoted to the publication of original empirical articles including reports of randomized controlled trials, observational studies, or other basic and clinical investigations. Integrative reviews of the evidence for the application of behavioral interventions in health care will also be provided. These reviews apply the standards of evidence-based medicine and help bridge the gap between basic science and clinical practice in behavioral medicine.5 Year Impact Factor: 4.88 (2012)

The following kinds of articles are appropriate for the journal: (a) theories or theoretical analyses of knowledge representation, cognitive processes, and brain theory; (b) experimental or ethnographic studies relevant to theoretical issues in cognitive science; (c) descriptions of intelligent programs that exhibit or model some human ability; (d) design proposals for cognitive models; (e) protocol or discourse analysis of human cognitive processing; (f) discussions of new problem areas or methodological issues in cognitive science; and (g) short theoretical notes or rebuttals. The journal will publish four categories of articles.

Instructional Science promotes a deeper understanding of the nature, theory, and practice of the instructional process and resultant learning. Published papers represent a variety of perspectives from the learning sciences and cover learning by people of all ages, in all areas of the curriculum, and in informal and formal learning contexts. Emphasizing reports of original empirical research, the journal stands out by providing space for full and detailed reporting of major studies. These include studies addressing learning processes, learning technology, learner characteristics, and learning outcomes. Regardless of the topic, all papers published in the journal make a contribution to the science of instruction by drawing out the instructional implications of new research on learning. Most years, Instructional Science publishes a guest-edited thematic special issue. Recent issues have explored cognitive load theory, networked learning, and web-based instruction.

The Journal of Behavioral Medicine is a broadly conceived interdisciplinary publication devoted to furthering understanding of physical health and illness through the knowledge and techniques of behavioral science. A significant function of the journal is the application of this knowledge to prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. The contents span all areas of behavioral medicine research: psychology, psychiatry, sociology, epidemiology, anthropology, health economics, public health, general medicine, and biostatistics. The Journal of Developmental and Physical Disabilities is an interdisciplinary forum for original research and clinical reports drawn from a variety of fields serving persons with developmental and physical disabilities. The journal publishes research utilizing group comparisons as well as single-case experimental designs. Contents include case studies of particular clinical relevance or that describe innovative evaluation and intervention techniques as well as reviews and theoretical discussions that contribute substantially to our understanding of the problems and strengths of persons with developmental and physical disabilities. In response to the need for increased clinical and research endeavors with persons with developmental and physical disabilities, the journal is cross-categorical and unbiased methodologically.

Research results relevant to the analysis and prediction of observed atmospheric circulations and physics, including technique development, data assimilation, model validation, and relevant case studies. This includes papers on numerical and data assimilation techniques that apply to the atmosphere and/or ocean environments as well as socioeconomic analyses of the impacts of weather and weather forecasts. MWR focuses on phenomena having seasonal and subseasonal time scales. Reviews of climatological aspects of high-impact events such as hurricanes, as well as review articles, are occasionally published.

The Journal of Spatial Science publishes original peer review Research and Review Papers contributing to the theory and practice of the spatial sciences.
