The Annals of the American Association of Geographers  was first published in 1911. It is recognized as the Association's premier journal for major research articles for all fields of geography. To be accepted, a paper must adhere to a high standard of scholarship and make an important contribution to geographic knowledge. It should also be grounded in the relevant literature of the specialization it represents and, where appropriate, establish relationships to themes within the broader discipline. Contents may include invited essays, review articles, Presidential Addresses, and memorials.

Applicable Analysis is concerned primarily with analysis that has application to scientific and engineering problems. Papers should indicate clearly an application of the mathematics involved. On the other hand, papers that are primarily concerned with modeling rather than analysis are outside the scope of the journal. General areas of analysis that are welcomed contain the areas of differential and integral equations, nonlinear analysis, applied functional analysis, theoretical numerical analysis and approximation theory. Asian Affairs covers the whole region of Asia - the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, South East Asia and East Asia. The Journal has a multi-disciplinary approach, which includes social, political and historical perspectives as well as contemporary affairs.

Editions of Asian Affairs generally consist of articles on specific countries, locales or historical episodes. Some articles are based on lectures to the Society. These and others are the fruit of academic research or the experiences of contributors. Biographical pieces and accounts of archaeological and historical travel have also been published. The editor welcomes contributions which fall within the overall framework of the Journal.

The principal aim of Biological Rhythm Research is to unite in one scientific journal all reports in the field of biological rhythm research which in the past were scattered over many scientific journals covering a great number of different disciplines. By bringing these papers together the Editorial Board stimulates interdisciplinary rhythm research not only because of the similarity of the methods applied in different fields of research, but also because of the increasing conviction of many scientists that, apart from the direct mechanisms involved in various rhythmic phenomena, many of these may be subjected to common extraneous controlling or masking influences. Connection Science is an interdisciplinary scientific and technical journal that has, since 1989, been a focus for research on connectionist modelling and neural network learning in both living and artificial systems with an emphasis on cognition and AI. Papers on these traditional themes are still strongly encouraged. However, in 2002, in response to exciting new work in evolutionary methods and adaptive robotics, its scope was broadened to include computational research on all biologically inspired adaptive mechanisms as well as all areas of biologically inspired robotics research. Papers submitted to the journal may be of a practical nature including, but not restricted to, new adaptive methods, novel implementations of existing methods as well as empirical work that has a strong modelling or theoretical component in psychology, biology, neuroscience or biologically inspired robotics. Crystallography Reviews publishes English language reviews of all aspects of crystallography. The main reviews are typically 20 to 80 pages long, with hundreds of references; and there are also book reviews. Topical reviews can be shorter (5000 words). The range of topics includes:- fundamentals of crystallography and applications in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics and mineralogy as well as in industrial research; studies of the structural and symmetry aspects of solids, and includes small molecules and macromolecules as well as structural systematics and chemical design; methodological aspects include crystal growth, instrumentation and diffraction methods; and the interface of crystallography to other structure determination methods. The journal Current Issues in Language Planning provides major summative and thematic review studies spanning and focusing the disparate language policy and language planning literature related to: 1) polities and language planning and 2) issues in language planning. The journal publishes four issues per year, two on each subject area. The polity issues describe language policy and planning in various countries/regions/areas around the world, while the issues numbers are thematically based.The Current Issues in Language Planning does not normally accept individual studies falling outside this polity and thematic approach. Polity studies and thematic issues' papers in this journal may be self-nominated or invited contributions from acknowledged experts in the field.
