The Journal of Texture Studies is a peer-reviewed international journal historically specialized in the texture and sensory perception of food and other consumer products. The journal was first published in 1969 and has been the primary source for disseminating advances in all sciences related to physical characterization and sensory perception of texture, in particular in areas such as food rheology and microstructure, tactile senses and texture perception, texture features and material attributes (composition, structure, and processing), food oral consumption, and studies associated with eating and sensory appreciation.With the ever expanding research interests of texture studies and increasing cross-disciplinary research with the allied health industries, the Journal has redefined its scope to better reflect the broadened research activities and interests associated with texture and sensory perception. Recent developments in the discipline reveal a greater awareness of the essential role of oral and brain processes in texture and perception. Gesture publishes articles reporting original research, as well as survey and review articles, on all aspects of gesture. The journal aims to stimulate and facilitate scholarly communication between the different disciplines within which work on gesture is conducted. For this reason papers written in the spirit of cooperation between disciplines are especially encouraged. This magazine provides a journal-quality evaluation and review of Internet-based computer applications and enabling technologies. It also provides a source of information as well as a forum for both users and developers. The focus of the magazine is on Internet services using WWW, agents, and similar technologies. This does not include traditional software concerns such as object-oriented or structured programming, or Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) or Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) standards. The magazine may, however, treat the intersection of these software technologies with the Web or agents. For instance, the linking of ORBs and Web servers or the conversion of KQML messages to object requests are relevant technologies for this magazine. An article strictly about CORBA would not be. This magazine is not focused on intelligent systems. Techniques for encoding knowledge or breakthroughs in neural net technologies are outside its scope, as would be an article on the efficacy of a particular expert system. Internet Computing focuses on technologies and applications that allow practitioners to leverage off services to be found on the Internet. Agents are one technology for doing so, independent of claims about intelligence. In fact, most of the useful agent technology being deployed on the Internet is distinct from the multi-user agent technology developed in the AI world. The latter typically focuses on architectures supporting beliefs, intentions, and other human-like characteristics. Such characteristics are typically not relevant to Internet agents. More important are system engineering issues such as Internet mobility, shared protocols, ontologies, registration, and routing. Network software and hardware per se are not in the scope of this magazine. On the other hand, hardware that permits faster execution of a specific Web technology, such as Java chips, would be covered.

Papers published in the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics fall within the broad field of science and technology of quantum electronics of a device, subsystem, or system-oriented nature. Each issue is devoted to a specific topic within this broad spectrum. Announcements of the topical areas planned for future issues, along with deadlines for receipt of manuscripts, are published in this Journal and in the IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics. Generally, the scope of manuscripts appropriate to this Journal is the same as that for the IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics. Manuscripts are published that report original theoretical and/or experimental research results that advance the scientific and technological base of quantum electronics devices, systems, or applications. The Journal is dedicated toward publishing research results that advance the state of the art or add to the understanding of the generation, amplification, modulation, detection, waveguiding, or propagation characteristics of coherent electromagnetic radiation having sub-millimeter and shorter wavelengths. In order to be suitable for publication in this Journal, the content of manuscripts concerned with subject-related research must have a potential impact on advancing the technological base of quantum electronic devices, systems, and/or applications. Potential authors of subject-related research have the responsibility of pointing out this potential impact. Indian Journal of Medical Specialities (INJMS) is an all-encompassing, peer-reviewed quarterly journal. It caters to all sections of the medical community, especially the undergraduate and postgraduate students from all across the Indian subcontinent. INJMS publishes scholarly articles and original research papers from all specialties. Physics, design and performance of radiation measurements, including computational modelling such as Monte Carlo simulations, are of relevance to the journal, as well as studies of energy-transfer phenomena, track physics and microdosimetry. Measurements and calculations of fundamental physical data, such as cross sections, reaction yields and attenuation coefficients, are acceptable within studies of radiation detection and dosimetry.Applications of interest to the journal are: personal dosimetry (including dosimetric quantities, active/electronic and passive monitoring techniques for photon, neutron and charged-particle exposures); environmental dosimetry (including radon measurements where they introduce methodological advances, predictive models, or detailed and original maps of complete or unusual geographical/geological regions); cosmic and high-energy radiation measurements (including dosimetry, space radiation effects, and single event upsets); dosimetry-based archaeological and geological dating; accident and retrospective dosimetry (including activation detectors). Papers that present novel detection techniques and applications such as illicit radiological and nuclear material detection (including contraband interdiction and safeguards verification) are also sought. Review articles are periodically solicited by the Editors.

The aim of Composites Part B: Engineering is to provide a balance between mechanics and materials science aspects, basic and applied research, and high technology and high volume (low cost) composite development.The Journal aims to provide a forum for the prompt publication of original research on all areas of composites and nano-engineered materials, with emphasis being placed on evaluation and modelling of engineering details and concepts. Basic research papers are welcomed as well as proposals for review articles.
