Contemporary Buddhism is an international peer-review journal that publishes articles on the current state and influence of Buddhism from across the human sciences. The field of computer virus prevention has rapidly taken an important position in our technological and information society. Viral attacks increase year after year, and antiviral efforts continually face new challenges. Beneficial applications of technologies based on scientific computer virology are still very limited. The theoretical aspects of the virus problem are only rarely considered, although many interesting and important open problems still exist. Little proactive research is focused on predicting the future of viral attacks. The Journal in Computer Virology is an independent scientific and technical journal dedicated to viral and antiviral computer technologies. Both theoretical and experimental aspects will be considered; papers emphasizing the theoretical aspects are especially welcome. Note: As far as new viral techniques are concerned, the journal strongly encourages authors to consider algorithmic aspects rather than the actual source code of a particular virus. Based on the concept of "One World, One Health, One Medicine", interdisciplinary cooperation between specialists in human and animal medicine is of mutual interest and benefit. Therefore, there is need to combine the respective interest of physicians, veterinarians and other health professionals for comparative studies relevant to either human or animal medicine.Comparative Immunology, Microbiology & Infectious Diseases aims to respond to this concept of "One World, One Health, One Medicine" and to provide a venue for scientific exchange.The journal is open to subjects of common interest related to the immunology, immunopathology, microbiology and epidemiology of human and animal infectious diseases, especially zoonotic infections, and animal models of human infectious diseases. The role of environmental factors in disease emergence is emphasized.Original research papers of high quality and novelty on aspects of host response, molecular biology, pathogenesis, control and prevention and treatment of microbial diseases of domestic animals and wildlife (if the infections are of zoonotic interest and/or in relation with domestic animals), laboratory animals and animal models of human infections are considered for publication. The proliferation of derivative assets during the past two decades is unprecedented. With this growth in derivatives comes the need for financial institutions, institutional investors, and corporations to use sophisticated quantitative techniques to take full advantage of the spectrum of these new financial instruments. Academic research has significantly contributed to our understanding of derivative assets and markets. The growth of derivative asset markets has been accompanied by a commensurate growth in the volume of scientific research. Preservation of the architectural heritage is considered a fundamental issue in the life of modern societies. In addition to their historical interest, cultural heritage buildings are valuable because they contribute significantly to the economy by providing key attractions in a context where tourism and leisure are major industries in the 3rd millennium. The need of preserving historical constructions is thus not only a cultural requirement, but also an economical and developmental demand. The study of historical buildings and other structures must be undertaken from an approach based on the use of modern technologies and science. As a prominent example, the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) was established in 2000 as the newest institute in the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA.
