EJCMID is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to the publication of communications on infectious diseases of bacterial, viral and parasitic origin. The journal welcomes full articles presenting original research results, invited editorials, and reviews on the following topics:General epidemiology and diagnostics of infectious agentsClinical infectious diseases researchGenetics and phenotypes of host susceptibility towards infectious disease or colonizationUse of animal models to study bacterial infections and the imaging of such infections

Studies should primarily be performed from a mechanistic point of view with emphasis on the inter-relatedness of molecular features with clinical presentation of infections. Papers on the translational application of basic research findings will be prioritized.

The European Journal of Clinical Pharmacology publishes original papers, short communications, and letters to the editors on all aspects of clinical pharmacology and drug therapy in humans. Coverage includes therapeutic trials; pharmacokinetics; drug metabolism; adverse drug reactions; drug interactions; all aspects of drug development; prescribing policies; pharmacoepidemiology; and matters relating to the safe use of drugs. Data from animal experiments are published only in the context of parallel experiments in man reported in the same paper. The journal also publishes review articles on special problems related to these areas, and encourages debate on controversial issues.

The European Journal of Economics and Economic Policies: Intervention (EJEEP) is a peer-reviewed journal which serves as a forum for studies in macroeconomic theory, economic institutions and economic policies. The managing editors aim for productive debates involving one or more variants of heterodox economics, and invite contributions acknowledging the pluralism of research approaches. The submission of both theoretical and empirical work is encouraged. The managing editors contend that a wide variety of institutional and social factors shape economic life and economic processes. Only a careful study and integration of such factors into economics will lead to theoretical progress and to competent economic policy recommendations. This was clearly demonstrated by the inadequacy of orthodox economics, based on neoclassical foundations, to provide suitable explanations and responses to recent financial and economic crises.

Lipids, fats and oils play an ever increasing role in many aspects of health, science and technology, e.g. health requirements, metabolism, tailor-made raw materials and renewable rescources. The European Journal of Lipid Science and Technology focusses on the scientific and geographical integration of this varied spectrum ranging from lipidomics, nutrition and health to analytics, biotechnology and process engineering as well as chemistry and physical chemistry. EJN publishes original research articles and reviews in the broad fields of molecular, cellular, systems, behavioral, and cognitive neurosciences. EJN aims to advance our understanding of the nervous system in health and disease, thereby improving the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. Papers should present novel results that can be of interest to a broad spectrum of neuroscientists and that were generated by experiments guided by clearly defined aims or hypotheses. Highly specialized articles that provide only limited new insights into the organization and function of the nervous system, or describe results too specialized for a generalist neuroscience journal may be considered outside the scope of EJN. European Journal of Wood and Wood Products reports on results from research and development for wood and wood products and their biological, chemical, physical as well as mechanical and technological properties, processing and uses. Subjects range from roundwood to wood based products, composite materials and timber constructions, with related jointing techniques. Moreover, it deals with wood as a chemical raw material and source of energy as well as with inter-disciplinary aspects of life-cycle-assessment and international markets. European Journal of Wood and Wood Products aims at furthering international scientific communication and technology transfer from research into practice.

The European Journal on Criminal Policy and Research monitors crime trends in today’s enlarged Europe and beyond. The focus of its peer-reviewed coverage is on understanding crime in different geographical and socio-economic contexts, on presenting innovative crime prevention policies and practices, and on following legislative and institutional change. Discussion includes the trade-off between security and rights and ways to optimize the effectiveness of criminal justice systems with respect to human and civil rights. Recognizing that criminal justice systems are not the only method for dealing with crime, the journal also devotes attention to alternative policies and practices. Its four annual issues include two thematic issues and two that are open to various contributions.

Evolutionary Anthropology is an authoritative review journal that focuses on issues of current interest in biological anthropology, paleoanthropology, archaeology, functional morphology, social biology, and bone biology - including dentition and osteology - as well as human biology, genetics, and ecology. Hawwa publishes articles from all disciplinary and comparative perspectives that concern women and gender issues in the Middle East and the Islamic world. The purpose of this journal is to promote the integration of theories, methods, and research in human physiology. Human Studies is a quarterly journal dedicated primarily to advancing the dialogue between philosophy and the human sciences. Coverage addresses the logic of inquiry, methodology, epistemology and foundational issues in the human sciences exemplified by original empirical, theoretical and philosophical investigations. Phenomenological perspectives, broadly defined, are a primary focus. The journal benefits scholars in a variety of fields who seek a forum addressing these issues, in order to bridge the gap between philosophy and the human sciences. REVISTA IBEROAMERICANA DE MICOLOGÍA (IberoAmerican Journal of Mycology), the official journal of the Spanish, Venezuelan and Argentinean Mycology Associations (Asociación Española de Micología, Asociación Venezolana de Micología and Asociación Argentina de Micología), considers for publication, original articles, reviews, Mycology Forum, editorials, special articles, notes, and letters to the editor. All scientific contributions will be subject to an external anonymous peer review process. Articles published in REVISTA IBEROAMERICANA DE MICOLOGÍA are abstracted and indexed in Biological Abstracts, Chemical Abstracts, Current Contents/ISI Web of Science, Excerpta Medica, Índice Médico Español (Spanish Medical Index), Index Medicus/Medline/Pub-Med, Scirus and SCOPUS.

The IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Information Theory (JSAIT) publishes high quality technical papers on all aspects of Information Theory. It is a multi-disciplinary journal of special issues (SIs) focusing on the intersections of information theory with fields such as machine learning, statistics, genomics, neuroscience, theoretical computer science, and physics. Many fields lean heavily on the fundamentals of information theory, including concepts such as information entropy, compression, coding and decoding, mutual information, divergence, capacity, and rate distortion theory. There will also be special issues for hot topics firmly within information theory, such as new types of codes, short-packet communication, advances in multi-terminal information theory, quantum information theory, information theoretic security, and other emerging topics.

Articles must be authentic, educational, clinically relevant, and original in their content and scientific approach.
