Journal Guide

The journal is dedicated to the mathematical foundations of statistical theory. It primarily publishes research papers with complete proofs and, occasionally, survey papers on particular fields of statistics. Papers dealing with applications of statistics are also published if they contain new theoretical developments to the underlying statistical methods. The journal provides an outlet for research in advanced statistical methodology and for studies where such methodology is effectively used or which stimulate its further development.

Mathematical Notes, a translation of Matematicheskie Zametki, is a publication of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). The largest monthly mathematical journal from RAS, it features English translations of mathematical papers simultaneously published with their Russian versions. The journal contains research papers and survey articles in modern algebra, geometry and number theory, functional analysis, logic, set and measure theory, topology, probability and stochastics, differential and noncommutative geometry, operator and group theory, asymptotic and approximation methods, mathematical finance, linear and nonlinear equations, ergodic and spectral theory, operator algebras, and other related theoretical fields. It also presents rigorous results in mathematical physics.

Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) is dedicated to disseminating new findings and advancing new research that contributes to our knowledge of the molecular biology of eukaryotic cells. Examining both microbial and higher organisms, the journal showcases significant discoveries in cellular morphology and function, genome organization, regulation of genetic expression, morphogenesis, and somatic cell genetics. The journal also examines viral systems, publishing papers that emphasize their impact on the cell.

The first issue of the 'Abhandlungen aus dem Mathematischen Seminar der Universität Hamburg' was published in the year 1921. This international mathematical journal has since then provided a forum for significant research contributions. The journal covers all central areas of pure mathematics, such as algebra, complex analysis and geometry, differential geometry and global analysis, graph theory and discrete mathematics, Lie theory, number theory, and topology.

ACS Physical Chemistry Au is an open access journal publishing original, fundamental, and applied research on all aspects of physical chemistry. The journal publishes new and original experimental, computational, and theoretical research of interest to physical chemists, biophysical chemists, chemical physicists, physicists, material scientists, and engineers. Manuscripts must provide new physical insight or develop new tools and methods of general interest. Some major topical areas include:

Acta Linguistica publishes papers on general linguistics with particular emphasis on discussions of theoretical issues concerning Hungarian and other Finno-Ugric languages. Papers presenting empirical material must have strong theoretical implications. The scope of the journal is not restricted to the traditional research areas of linguistics, it also covers areas such as socio- and psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, discourse analysis, the philosophy of language, language typology, and formal semantics. Publishes book and dissertation reviews and advertisements.

Acta Mathematica Hungarica features papers covering most areas of mathematics and, in particular, from those whose work is related to the advances being made by Hungarian mathematicians. It publishes mainly pure mathematics, but occasionally papers of a more applied nature appear in the journal providing they have a non-trivial mathematical content. Acta Mathematica Hungarica (formerly Acta Mathematica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae) was founded in 1950 by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. It is now established as an international journal of repute.

Acta Orthopaedica presents articles, from all parts of the world, of basic research interest, as well as clinical studies in the field of orthopedics and related subdisciplines. Ever since the journal was founded in 1930, by a group of Scandinavian orthopedic surgeons, the journal has been published for an international audience. 

Acta articles are printed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY 4.0 license) which permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium provided the source is credited. This means that Acta has no copyright on your article.

Acta Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica journal (AOTT) publishes diagnostic, treatment and prevention methods related to orthopedics and traumatology; studies in basic sciences. The Journal accepts all clinical and research articles, case reports, contributions from personal clinical and technical experiences, brief reports of original studies or evaluations, book reviews, domestic and foreign article abstracts, data submitted to conferences, congress and meetings yet unpublished in order to evaluate for publishing.

Active and Passive Electronic Components is an international journal devoted to the science and technology of all types of electronic components. The journal publishes experimental and theoretical papers on topics such as transistors, hybrid circuits, integrated circuits, MicroElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS), sensors, high frequency devices and circuits, power devices and circuits, non-volatile memory technologies such as ferroelectric and phase transition memories, and nano electronics devices and circuits.

Advances in Mental Health: Promotion, Prevention and Early Intervention is a contemporary peer-reviewed journal for advancing promotion, prevention and early intervention approaches to mental health.

Advances in Mental Health's readership includes mental health practitioners, researchers, students, lecturers, clinicians, nurses, social workers, carers, mediators, counsellors, consumers, commentators and policy developers. The Editors welcome original research articles, literature reviews, journal abstracts and reviews of relevant multimedia products.

Advances in Physiology Education promotes and disseminates educational scholarship in order to enhance teaching and learning of physiology, neuroscience and pathophysiology. The journal publishes peer-reviewed descriptions of innovations that improve teaching in the classroom and laboratory, essays on education, and review articles based on our current understanding of physiological mechanisms. Submissions that evaluate new technologies for teaching and research, and educational pedagogy, are especially welcome. The audience for the journal includes educators at all levels: K-12, undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.

This Journal is devoted to the advancement of the science and technology of astronautics and aeronautics through the dissemination of original archival research papers disclosing new theoretical developments and/or experimental results. The topics include aeroacoustics, aerodynamics, combustion, fundamentals of propulsion, fluid mechanics and reacting flows, fundamental aspects of the aerospace environment, hydrodynamics, lasers and associated phenomena, plasmas, research instrumentation and facilities, structural mechanics and materials, optimization, and thermomechanics and thermochemistry. Papers also are sought which review in an intensive manner the results of recent research developments on any of the topics listed above.

Algebra Colloquium is an international mathematical journal founded at the beginning of 1994. It is edited by the Academy of Mathematics & Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, jointly with Suzhou University, and published quarterly in English in every March, June, September and December. Algebra Colloquium carries original research articles of high level in the field of pure and applied algebra. Papers from related areas which have applications to algebra are also considered for publication. This journal aims to reflect the latest developments in algebra and promote international academic exchanges.

Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics is an international journal of gastroenterology and hepatology. The journal accepts original papers and systematic reviews concerned with clinical gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy. AP&T is particularly interested in therapies and diagnostics, including all aspects of translation from bench to bedside: identification of novel therapeutic targets, epidemiology, clinical trials, drug safety and meta-analyses.

Allergology International is the official English language journal of the Japanese Society of Allergology, publishing peer-reviewed articles of scientific excellence in human and experimental allergology, and related fields of research. The Journal aims to further the international exchange of results and encourages authors from all countries to submit papers in the following categories: Original Articles; Case Reports; Short Communications; Occasional Reviews and Editorials; and Letters to the Editor. Allergology International is supported by a Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Result from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

Alzheimer's Research & Therapy is the major forum for translational research into Alzheimer's disease. An international peer-reviewed journal, it publishes open access basic research with a translational focus, as well as clinical trials, research into drug discovery and development, and epidemiologic studies. The journal also provides reviews, viewpoints, commentaries, debates and reports. Although the primary focus is Alzheimer's dementia, the scope encompasses translational research into other neurodegenerative diseases.

This peer-reviewed scholarly journal is an official publication of the American Catholic Philosophical Association. Established in 1927, the journal has a rich and varied history, and has long been one of the leading philosophy journals in North America. Each issue features scholarly articles, topical discussions, and book reviews dealing with all philosophical areas and approaches. Every fourth issue is a special issue dedicated entirely to the work and legacy of a particular thinker.
