Ecohydrology

ISSN: 1936-0584eISSN: 1936-0592

Ecohydrology is an international journal publishing original scientific and review papers that aim to improve understanding of processes at the interface between ecology and hydrology and associated applications related to environmental management. Ecohydrology seeks to increase interdisciplinary insights by placing particular emphasis on interactions and associated feedbacks in both space and time between ecological systems and the hydrological cycle. Research contributions are solicited from disciplines focusing on the physical, ecological, biological, biogeochemical, geomorphological, drainage basin, mathematical and methodological aspects of ecohydrology. Research in both terrestrial and aquatic systems is of interest provided it explicitly links ecological systems and the hydrologic cycle; research such as aquatic ecological, channel engineering, or ecological or hydrological modelling is less appropriate for the journal unless it specifically addresses the criteria above. Manuscripts describing individual case studies are of interest in cases where broader insights are discussed beyond site- and species-specific results. The Journal also publishes research on new instrumentation and techniques if they describe truly new and significant advances in methodology that can be broadly applied to the ecohydrological understanding and management of environmental systems. Occasional special issues will be published that cover themes emergent from conferences, ecological and hydrological science societies and key research topics. Ecohydrology welcomes the submission of comment/reply on previously published papers. Such submissions should preferably be in the form of a short paper not exceeding 2000 words and relate to papers previously published in the Journal. All papers for Ecohydrology should be prepared in accordance with the notes for contributors.

Environment and Planning D: Society and Space

ISSN: 0263-7758eISSN: 1472-3433

Environment and Planning D is an interdisciplinary journal that leads internationally in discussions of the relations between Society and Space. Space is broadly conceived: from landscapes of the body to global geographies; from cyberspace to old growth forests; as metaphorical and material; as theoretical construct and empirical fact. Interpretations move across theoretical spectrums, from psychoanalysis to political economy. The journal editors are equally committed to the nitty gritty of practical politics and the abstractions of social theory. We believe that this commitment is best achieved by keeping a balance between, and placing into creative tension, economic, political, and cultural analyses, as well as theoretical discussions and a range of empirical research. The journal is interdisciplinary; in recent years it has drawn papers from the disciplines of geography, cultural studies, anthropology, sociology, politics, international relations, english, architecture, planning, history, women's studies, art history, and philosophy. It is international in content, a feature that is actively pursued by an international Editorial Advisory Board. Debate is timely and lively. Recent issues include an exchange between David Harvey and Donna Haraway, as well as collections of essays focused around the themes of Animals and Geography, and Deleuze and Dwelling. A good number of papers published in the journal have had a lasting impact; two recent edited volumes of reprinted articles in Social Geography, and Philosophy and Geography are comprised of papers drawn primarily from Society and Space. Apart from papers and debate, there are editorials and commentaries, many of which are highly cited and a good number later reprinted elsewhere, as well as book reviews and extended review essays.

Politics, Groups, and Identities

ISSN: 2156-5503eISSN: 2156-5511

Aims & Scope

Politics, Groups, and Identities is an official journal of the Western Political Science Association. It presents the best scholarship on social groups, exploring the politics of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, class and other dimensions of identity and structural disadvantage. The journal publishes work across all subfields of political science, as well as the social sciences and humanities more generally. The journal publishes research on any country or region of the world, including work that is global or international in scope as well as work that is national or local, or examines connections between these levels.

Politics, Groups, and Identities is interdisciplinary in focus. The editors are open to a wide range of analytic approaches, including interpretive, ethnographic, historical, statistical, and multi-method analyses. In addition to publishing original research articles, the editors also seek proposals for integrative review essays as well as symposia on specific topics or dimensions of the politics of social groups. The editors are especially interested in proposals that would promote discussion among scholars on innovative topics or projects. These discussions might take several forms, including but not limited to (1) a set of pieces tackling a common question or debate, (2) a research article with several responses and a rejoinder, (3) “thought” pieces with responses from a variety of perspectives, and (4) research workshops in which novel methodologies or analytical approaches are presented and critiqued.

Politics, Groups, and Identities is a peer-reviewed (double-blind) journal. All manuscripts to be considered for publication should be submitted online via ScholarOne Manuscripts. At the discretion of the Editorial Office, submitted manuscripts are sent to independent, anonymous, expert referees.

International Reviews of Immunology

ISSN: 0883-0185eISSN: 1563-5244

This review journal provides the most current information on basic and translational research in immunology and related fields. In addition to invited reviews, the journal accepts for publication articles and editorials on relevant topics proposed by contributors. Each issue of International Reviews of Immunology contains both solicited and unsolicited review articles, editorials, and 'In-this-Issue' highlights. The journal also hosts reviews that position the authors' original work relative to advances in a given field, bridging the gap between annual reviews and the original research articles. This review series is relevant to all immunologists, molecular biologists, microbiologists, translational scientists, industry researchers, and physicians who work in basic and clinical immunology, inflammatory and allergic diseases, vaccines, and additional topics relevant to medical research and drug development that connect immunology to disciplines such as oncology, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders.Covered in International Reviews of Immunology:1) Basic and developmental immunology (innate and adaptive immunity; inflammation; and tumor and microbial immunology);2) Clinical research (mechanisms of disease in man pertaining to infectious diseases, autoimmunity, allergy, oncology / immunology); and3) Translational research (relevant to biomarkers, diagnostics, vaccines, and drug development). The editors' intent is that this journal provide the most recent and relevant information, hence the submissions are being reviewed by members of the editorial team and / or experts in the field; yet the turnaround time is short, in order to insure that the reviews contain the latest data. An international board of editors makes sure that the material presented is as broad as possible, both in terms of the geographic distribution of contributors and the range of interests represented.Read More: http://informahealthcare.com/page/iri/Description.

Journal of Business Venturing Insights

eISSN: 2352-6734
Journal of Business Venturing Insights (JBV Insights) aims to enhance the conversation among scholars and practitioners by offering a forum for rapid dissemination of new research related to entrepreneurial phenomena. Like its sister journal (JBV), JBV Insights is open to different disciplines, perspectives, and methods.

JBV Insights is supercharged in terms of speed and accessibility and aims to have manuscripts with the journal for no longer than three months (from submission to online publication [or rejection]). Manuscripts will be concise and widely available online via ScienceDirect.

The research featured in JBV Insights will highlight important ideas that cannot yet meet the threshold for completeness, robustness or theoretical explication required of JBV, but will otherwise stimulate further research. Empirical submissions could include unusual findings, atheoreical descriptions, non-findings or replication of established relationships, or single experiments. Theoretical submissions could include thought-provoking examples or juxtapositions. Other submissions include simulations and scale and other methodological developments.

The editorial policy of the JBV Insights requires that submitted articles highlight and stimulate conversation about entrepreneurial phenomena. Articles can be based on empirical findings or descriptions, theoretical arguments, simulations, or methodological developments.

JBV Insights represents a multi-discipline voice on entrepreneurship including, in the fields of management, strategy, sociology, psychology, economics, international business, finance/accounting, sustainable and social entrepreneurship, and marketing.

Types of Paper

Papers that successfully survive the review process share several attributes:

• A precise description of the research problem, issue, or question
• Use of appropriate methods or, in the case of theory pieces, persuasive argumentation
• A clear summary of results
• Concise but clear implications for theory and/or practice
