JASC is the official journal of the American Society of Cytopathology, and will reflect the values and priorities of the society. In 2012 and 2013, JASC will consist of special supplemental issues with the annual scientific meeting abstracts of the American Society of Cytopathology. Beginning in 2014, JASC will publish its regular bimonthly issues with cutting-edge original research of the highest standard. The Journal will seek to provide an exceptional forum for interaction and dissemination of original research and educational information in the field of cytopathology and other allied disciplines in medicine. The cross-disciplinary focus of the journal will ensure sharing of information with all readers involved in the practice of cytopathology and its related basic sciences, epidemiology and clinical oncologic disciplines.JASC will endeavor to have a positive impact not only on all aspects of cancer diagnosis and treatment, but also on other human disease. JASC will publish original work emphasizing novel discoveries or clinicopathologic correlations in a patient-centered environment, technological advances in basic and translational research with emphasis on the development of personalized medicine, and new or improved molecular techniques and their novel application for diagnosis or monitoring of disease. Preference will also be given to original work demonstrating the scholarship of education in cytopathology including new innovative tools for continuing education and training as well as designing and implementing new assessment and evaluation techniques. JASC will lead the discipline of cytopathology by setting professional quality standards ensuring diagnostic excellence, advocating laboratory safety and quality, and inter-professional education for pathologists, cytotechnologists and all allied health care specialties. It will duly address and highlight issues relating to population health and public policy topics.

Microprocessors and Microsystems: Embedded Hardware Design (MICPRO) is a journal covering all design and architectural aspects related to embedded systems hardware. It includes different embedded system hardware platforms ranging from custom hardware via reconfigurable systems and application specific processors to general purpose embedded processors. Special emphasis is put on novel complex embedded architectures, such as systems on chip (SoC), systems on a programmable/reconfigurable chip (SoPC) and multi-processors on a chip (MPoC) as well as their communication methods, such as network-on-chip (NoC).Design automation of such systems including methodologies, techniques and tools for their design as well as novel designs of hardware components fall within the scope of this journal. We encourage 'Discussion' articles that stimulate dialogue between earth observation studies and managers in a statistically sound way and 'Review' articles that provide an overview of scientific developments in a particular scientific domain in recent years.

Papers addressing these topics in the context of the social fabric and economic constraints of developing countries are particularly welcome.

The journal is the successor of the former ITC Journal, and has been published by Elsevier since 2002.

The aim of the International Journal of Osteoarchaeology is to provide a forum for the publication of papers dealing with all aspects of the study of human and animal bones from archaeological contexts. The journal will publish original papers dealing with human or animal bone research from any area of the world. It will also publish short papers which give important preliminary observations from work in progress and it will publish book reviews. All papers will be subject to peer review. Papers from any of the following principal areas of work would be considered for publication. Palaeopathology: Human and animal diseases as found in actual human and animal remains, including radiographic, histological and serological and immunological studies. Physical anthropology: Ageing, sexing, metric and morphological analysis of human and animal bone. The application of demographic analyses to both. Epidemiology: Prevalence and aetiology of disease and the factors influencing these in human and animal populations. Secular trends. Chemical analysis: Exposure of past populations to toxic substances; reconstruction of the diet and other nutritional studies of human and animal bones. Exploitation of animal resources: Studies of the means of procuring and managing animal food sources including hunting, butchery and domestication. Taphonomy: Processes, both natural and man-made, which affect the preservation and survival of bone. The journal will be aimed principally towards all those with a professional interest in the study of human and animal bones. This includes archaeologists, anthropologists, human and animal bone specialists, palaeopathologists and medical historians. We also hope to attract and encourage students and others for whom this field is of serious but peripheral interest.

The purpose of the journal is to report original research on all aspects of plastic deformation, damage and fracture behaviour of isotropic as well as anisotropic solids, including the thermodynamics of plasticity and fracture, continuum theory, and macroscopic as well as microscopic phenomena.The topics of interest include plastic behaviour of single crystals and polycrystalline metals, ceramics, rocks and soils, composites, nanocrystalline and microelectronics materials, shape memory alloys, ferroelectric ceramics, thin films and polymers, as well as plasticity aspects of failure and fracture mechanics. Significant experimental, numerical or theoretical contributions advancing the understanding of plastic behaviour of solids are of special interest, together with studies relating macroscopic to the microscopic behaviour of solids. Papers on modeling of finite nonlinear elastic deformation, with similarities to modeling of plastic deformation, are also welcome.The Journal will contain research papers, review articles, research notes, letters to the editor, and academic advertisements (books, journals, conferences, and symposia). Strain-rate dependent and strain-rate independent constitutive models to predict observed phemonena during quasi-static, dynamic or cyclic thermo-mechanical loading, behaviour of granular or porous solids under high confining pressures and at high temperatures, multiscale modeling of various deformation mechanisms (dislocation, twinning, and phase transformation), and models with capability for predicting the behaviour of composite materials based onknown plastic behaviour of matrix and fibers in such materials, are some examples of the main themes of this journal. Revealing applications of the new models of plasticity, including modelling of the observed phenomena in metal forming processes are also of interest.

The Journal of Environmental Radioactivity provides a coherent international forum for publication of original research or review papers on any aspect of the occurrence of radioactivity in natural systems.Relevant subject areas range from applications of environmental radionuclides as mechanistic or timescale tracers of natural processes to assessments of the radioecological or radiological effects of ambient radioactivity. Papers deal with naturally occurring nuclides or with those created and released by man through nuclear weapons manufacture and testing, energy production, fuel-cycle technology, etc. Reports on radioactivity in the oceans, sediments, rivers, lakes, groundwaters, soils, atmosphere and all divisions of the biosphere are welcomed, but these should not simply be of a monitoring nature unless the data are particularly innovative.Research papers are also included which, by either experimental or theoretical approaches, aim towards an improved understanding of the behaviour, transfer and distribution of environmental radionuclides. Predictive modelling is particularly encouraged. Papers on dating methods are acceptable if they have clear geophysical or geochemical significance.
