The principal aim ofCurrent Eye Research is to provide rapid publication of full papers, short communications and minireviews, all of high quality. Current Eye Research publishes articles encompassing all the areas of eye research. Subject areas include the following: clinical research, anatomy, physiology, biophysics, biochemistry, pharmacology, developmental biology, microbiology and immunology.

The journal covers astronomy (study of celestial objects such as stars, planets, comets, nebulae, star clusters and galaxies), astrophysics, cosmology, planetary science and solar-terrestrial physics.

Equivalently, the journal covers different disciplines of global and regional geophysics including the shape, structure and dynamics of the Earth in addition to their surface expression in plate tectonics, generation of magmas, volcanism and rock formation. Moreover, the journal places particular emphasis on methodological developments and innovative applications of geophysical techniques, such as electric, electromagnetic, magnetic, gravity and seismic, for addressing environmental, archaeological, engineering, and hydrological problems.

The journal also publishes reports, news, books, software reviews and state-of-the-art surveys on active areas of current research.

The Puerto Rico Health Sciences Journal (PRHSJ) is the scientific journal of the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. It was founded in 1982 as a vehicle for the publication of reports on scientific research conducted in-campus, Puerto Rico and abroad. All published work is original and peer-reviewed. The PRHSJ is included in Index Medicus, MEDLINE, SCOPUS, Index Pharmacus, Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch®) and Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition. All papers are published both online and in hard copy. From its beginning, the PRHSJ is being published regularly four times a year. The scope of the journal includes a range of medical, dental, public health, pharmaceutical and biosocial sciences research. The journal publishes full-length articles, brief reports, special articles, reviews, editorials, case reports, clinical images, and letters arising from published material. The Journal of Biorheology, the official journal of the Japanese Society of Biorheology, is an international journal covering the science and application of the deformation and flow properties of biological materials, including food materials. The aim of the journal is to provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of original papers and authoritative review papers dealing with the dynamics of physiological processes at all levels of organization, from organs to the molecular level. The scope of the journal covers the basic science and its applications in the broad field of biorheology: the rheology of macromolecules, cell rheology, tissue and organ rheology, and food rheology. The Journal of Biorheology accepts original articles, brief communications, and review articles. The editors encourage the submission of biorheological analysis of pathological processes and their clinical implications, including basic clinical research on hemodynamics and hemorheology. Also highly welcome are translational clinical studies and scientific research between the fields of engineering and medicine.

The Journal of Marine and Island Cultures, an international journal, is the official journal of the Institution for Marine and Island Cultures, Republic of Korea. The Journal of Marine and Island Cultures publishes peer-reviewed, original research papers, reviews, reports, and comments covering all aspects of the humanities and cultural issues pertaining to the marine and island environment. In addition the journal publishes articles that present integrative research conducted across interdisciplinary boundaries, including studies examining the sustainability of the living environment, nature-ecological resources and the socio-economic systems of islands and islanders. The journal particularly encourages the submission of papers relating to marine and island cultures in the Asia-Pacific Region as well as in the American, European and Mediterranean Regions.

A key feature of this journal is the mix of academic and theoretically-slanted methodological articles, articles relating to research practice in professional and service settings, and those considering the relationship between the two. AJEV publishes full-length research papers, literature reviews, research notes, and technical briefs on various aspects of enology and viticulture, including wine chemistry, sensory science, process engineering, wine quality assessments, microbiology, methods development, plant pathogenesis, diseases and pests of grape, rootstock and clonal evaluation, effect of field practices, and grape genetics and breeding. All papers are peer reviewed, and authorship of papers is not limited to members of ASEV. Focused primarily on African music research, Muziki: Journal of Music Research in Africa welcomes scholarly articles and reviews of books, music, and recordings related to musical theory and practice of the African continent and beyond. We aim to provide a platform for established and emerging scholars in the fields of performance practice, ethnomusicology, and ‘traditional’ musicology as well as jazz and popular music studies encompassing diverse aspects of local, diasporic, and global research.
