Ecosystem Services, associated with the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP), is an international, interdisciplinary journal that deals with the science, policy and practice of Ecosystem Services in the following disciplines: ecology and economics, institutions, planning and decision making, economic sectors such as agriculture, forestry and outdoor recreation, and all types of ecosystems.The aims of the journal are:(1) To improve our understanding of the dynamics, benefits and social and economic values of ecosystem services, (2) To provide insight in the consequences of policies and management for ecosystem services with special attention to sustainability issues, (3) To create a scientific interface to policymakers in the field of ecosystem services assessment and practice, and(4) To integrate the fragmented knowledge about ecosystem services, synergies and trade-offs, currently found in a wide field of specialist disciplines and journals.Manuscripts should always address ecosystem services and deal with at least one of the following themes:(a) The link between ecosystem services and social and economic benefits and associated values, including monetary values; i.e. what is the role of ecosystem services in providing and sustaining benefits for humans and how are these benefits and values perceived by public and policy makers? (b) The link between the levels of ecosystem services and economic, environmental and land use policies and practices; i.e. how is (the sustainability of) ecosystem services in natural, agricultural and urban systems affected by these policies and what are the trade-offs in service provision, and subsequent benefits and economic values, between different policy schemes?(c) The link between government and business strategies and the sustainability of ecosystem services, i.e. the use of ecosystem services in PES arrangements, biodiversity-offset programs and multiple service land use planning.Articles may address these topics from different (paradigmatic) perspectives, including basic research, integrated assessment approaches and (ex ante and ex post) policy evaluations. They may be inter-disciplinary or draw from specialized fields within economic, ecological, social and political sciences. Permafrost and Periglacial Processes is an international journal dedicated to the rapid publication of scientific and technical papers concerned with earth surface cryogenic processes, landforms and sediments present in a variety of (Sub) Arctic, Antarctic and High Mountain environments. It provides an efficient vehicle of communication amongst those with an interest in the cold, non-glacial geosciences. The focus is on (1) original research based on geomorphological, hydrological, sedimentological, geotechnical and engineering aspects of these areas and (2) original research carried out upon relict features where the objective has been to reconstruct the nature of the processes and/or palaeoenvironments which gave rise to these features, as opposed to purely stratigraphical considerations. The journal also publishes short communications, reviews, discussions and book reviews. As the Cold War ended in the early 1990s, scholars of contemporary international affairs started taking a new look at the basic conflicts that had dominated the latter part of the twentieth century. Over the last fifteen years a new historical literature on the Cold War era has come into being, greatly helped by the increase in access to archives and other source materials in most countries of the world, from the former Communist states in Europe, to China, to South Africa and elsewhere. Cold War History is based in the Cold War Studies Programme at LSE IDEAS, the London School of Economics Centre for International Affairs, Strategy and Diplomacy. It aims to make available the results of recent research on the origins and development of the Cold War and its impact on nations, alliances and regions at various levels of statecraft, as well as in areas such as the military and intelligence, the economy, and social and intellectual developments. The new history of the Cold War is a fascinating example of how experts -- often working across national and disciplinary boundaries -- are able to use newly available information to refine, or in some cases destroy, old images and interpretations. Cold War History aims at publishing the best of this emerging scholarship, from a perspective that attempts to de-centre the era through paying special attention to the role of Europe and the Third World. Neotropical Biodiversity is an open-access, international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles and reviews of exceptional significance for biodiversity within the Neotropics. The journal covers all scales of biodiversity, including molecules, genes, populations, species, and ecosystems. General areas include, but are not restricted to, the following: anatomy, biogeography, computational biology, evolutionary developmental biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, conservation biology, ecology, evolution, landscape genomics, phylogenetic, paleontology, population biology, and taxonomy.

The main criteria for acceptance of reviews and research papers are originality, scientific rigour and appeal to an international readership.   Neotropical Biodiversity also publishes occasional monographs that clearly represent substantial contributions in a particular field. All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. Women & Performance: a journal of feminist theory seeks scholarly essays on performance, dance, film, new media, and the performance of everyday life from interdisciplinary feminist perspectives. We encourage dialogues between varied fields of performance scholarship (i.e., performance studies; theatre, dance, and music history and criticism; ethnography; cinema and cultural studies; as well as queer and post-colonial theory), and explore critiques of race, ethnicity, class, sexuality, technology, and nation. The journal is a peer-reviewed, tri-annual publication with forthcoming special issues on topics as diverse as the role of women in the fluxus art movement, women in international politics, and transbiology. We encourage general submissions that foreground themes of gender and performance and proposals for special issues that address topics within feminism and performance studies. The Journal “Intelligent Service Robotics” fosters the dissemination of new discoveries and novel technologies that advance the application of robotics for assisting humans on a yet richer dimension. The Journal will cover a broad spectrum of topics ranging from intelligent robots acting as an everyday servant, secretary, or companion to the intelligent robotic functions in the form of embedded robotics, ambient intelligence, or intelligent space. The journal directs special attention to the emerging significance of integrating robotics with information technology and cognitive science (such as ubiquitous and adaptive computing,information integration in a distributed environment, and cognitive modelling for human-robot interaction), which spurs innovation toward a new multi-dimensional robotic service to humans. The journal intends to capture and archive this emerging yet significant advancement in the field of intelligent service robotics. The journal will publish original papers of innovative ideas and concepts, new discoveries and improvements, as well as novel applications and business models which are related to the field of intelligent service robotics described above and are proven to be of high quality. This journal is designed to reflect current developments and advances being made in the general field of cement-concrete composites technology and in the production, use, and performance of cement-basedconstruction materials. The word cement is interpreted in a wide sense, including not only Portland cement but also blended cements and other binding materials. In addition to novel aspects of conventional concrete materials, the journal covers a wide range of composite materials such as fiber-reinforced cement composites, polymer cement composites, polymer impregnated composites, ferrocement, and cement composites containing special aggregate inclusions or waste materials. Original papers dealing with microstructure (as it relates to engineering properties), material properties, testing and test methods, fracture mechanics, durability aspects, composite mechanics/technology, modelling, design, fabrication and practical applications of these materials form the major themes of the journal. Provided there is sufficient linkage to properties defined at the material scale, papers concerning the behavior of structural components and systems, in situ performance, and field studies will also be accepted for review, as well as those concerning the repair and maintenance, serviceability behavior, and sustainability of structures made with these materials.The journal has within the above context several specific objectives. It wants to foster a better understanding of construction materials, provide a forum for unusual and unconventional materials, encourage the development of low cost energy saving materials and bridge the gap between materials science, engineering performance, environmental effects, in situ behavior, design/service life and construction. It is the intention of the journal to also publish special issues devoted to topics of current or emerging interest. The journal aims to provide a unifying basis for collaboration between materials scientists, engineers, designers and fabricators.

Archaeological Prospection is an interdisciplinary journal, intended to:*Inform archaeologists, environmental scientists, site developers, local authorities and regional environmental agencies about the wide range of scientific techniques available for the study of the near-surface environment.* Promote international collaboration amongst practitioners of prospection techniques.*Encourage discussion of field procedures, data presentation and interpretation of a wide range of survey methods and promote multi-technique comparisons, thus enhancing scientific collaboration.*Promote procedures and investigations for the safeguard of the historical and environmental cultural heritage.*Disseminate information about new (or newly applied) prospecting techniques.*Provide reviews of relevant techniques and applications.*Provide a forum for the discussion of best practice in shallow depth investigation of archaeological and environmental landscapes.* Encourage risk analysis studies to evaluate the economics of archaeological and environmental investigations.Scope of the Journal*The scope of the Journal will be international, covering urban, rural and marine environments and the full range of underlying geology.*The Journal will contain articles relating to the use of a wide range of propecting techniques, including remote sensing (airborne and satellite), geophysical (e.g. resistivity, magnetometry) and geochemical (e.g. organic markers, soil phosphate). Reports and field evaluations of new techniques will be welcomed.*Contributions will be encouraged on the application of relevant software, including G.I.S. analysis, to the data derived from prospection techniques and cartographic analysis of early maps.*Reports on integrated site evaluations and follow-up site investigations will be particularly encouraged.*The Journal will welcome contributions, in the form of short (field) reports, on the application of prospection techniques in support of comprehensive land-use studies.*The Journal will, as appropriate, contain book reviews, conference and meeting reviews, and software evaluation.*All papers will be subjected to peer review.

The  Journal of World Languages is a cross-disciplinary journal whose coverage of the effects of globalization on languages extends coverage to all world languages.

The Journal of Alloys and Compounds is intended to serve as an international medium for the publication of work on solid materials comprising compounds as well as alloys.
