Law and Praxis is an academic journal published by the UERJ Graduate Law Program's Theory and Philosophy of Law research line. Our mission is the diffusion of academic papers on Theory and Philosophy of Law, Sociology of Law and Political Philosophy, and also interdisciplinary research based on critical methodologies and approaches.

An interdisciplinary and international journal, Safer Communities (SC) publishes scholarly and practitioner-based research on the range of topics that constitute community safety, community justice and youth justice.

SynOpen is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal reporting current research results in chemical sciences in full paper, letter, review and graphical review format. It caters to a wide range of chemists throughout industry and academia, and publishes articles from across the chemistry portfolio, as long as synthesis or synthetic methods are one of the research focal points.

Theory and Research in Education, formerly known as The School Field, is an international peer reviewed journal that publishes theoretical, empirical and conjectural papers contributing to the development of educational theory, policy and practice.

Urbanization, Sustainability & Society provides a forum for applied research on the sustainable development of cities across the globe, with a particular focus on the social impacts of urbanisation, including health, education and social equity. Communication Research and Practice aims to publish research that contributes to international scholarship and practice in the broadly defined field of communication. The journal aims to be broadly inclusive and interdisciplinary, with a particular interest in such fields as: digital media and internet studies; organisational and interpersonal communication; journalism, public relations and advertising; intercultural communication; international communication; and political communication. The journal will be open to contributions from across humanities and social sciences, and to contributions relating to communications practice (e.g. public relations, journalism, visual communication, digital media practice), and applications of communication theory (e.g. promotional campaigns, organisational and industry analyses, public policy deliberations).

The journal is supported by the Australian and New Zealand Communication Association (ANZCA). It derives its primary intellectual identity from the contribution of scholars in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region, while also publishing work of interest to international readers, and research by international scholars that ensures issues and concerns relevant to this region are examined in international contexts. Communication Research and Practice will publish original empirical studies and essays commenting on current issues relevant to the region, as well as papers that advance theoretical and conceptual development in the communication field. It is particularly interested in supporting original and innovative work by early career researchers in this region.

Articles should be 6,000-8,000 words in length, and must not exceed 9,000 words including tables, references, captions, footnotes and endnotes. Book reviews, notes and commentaries may be shorter in length.

All research articles will be processed via a double blind peer-review process.  

Lighting Research & Technology is the leading international peer reviewed journal that publishes the highest quality original research on the subject of light and lighting and is published in association with The Society of Light and Lighting, which is part of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.Lighting Research & Technology publishes papers by authors from around the world on all aspects of the subject of light and lighting. Research in Human Development is moving away from an isolated emphasis on particular stages ranging from infancy to later adulthood and from a reduction of multiple levels of organization to variables or processes associated with one discipline. Accordingly, Research in Human Development (RHD) seeks to promote a shift away from research focused on development at particular stages (early childhood, adolescence, middle age, older adulthood) and from separate fields of inquiry to a more inclusive, integrative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of human development across the entire life span. The integration of the person and his or her context across life is the focus of the scholarship promoted by this journal; as such, multilevel, multivariate, and integrative longitudinal study of person-context relations is emphasized in these publications. Specifically, an interdisciplinary focus that integratively incorporates biological, psychological, sociological, anthropological, economic, and historical perspectives is stressed in the pages of RHD. To encompass such breadth, the publications incorporate a variety of research methods--from quantitative to qualitative.Moreover, the journal seeks to promote scholarship on the social, cultural, national, and global contexts of human development across diverse ethnic and racial groups employing multiple methods. The Alexandria Journal of Medicine is an international peer reviewed journal, concerned with providing a venue for publication of all aspects of human diseases including basic and clinical aspects with a particular focus on diseases of high prevalence in the Middle East and its comparison to their profile in the rest of the world. Manuscripts from other world regions are welcome, to increase the scientific exchange between the different world regions. Such an exchange would increase the opportunities for international collaborative research, especially that there is a broad range of readers from the region and worldwide.

Towards this end, the AJME publishes original research articles, review articles, short communications, clinical trials in an open access format. For a detailed description of the different types of manuscripts, the readers can consult the online guide for authors. The material is subject to editorial revision. Papers describing research involving human subjects and the procedures followed should be in accordance with the ethical standards. Articles containing promotional material (advertisements), whether implicit or explicit will not be included in the Journal.

The official Journal of the European Peptide Society EPS The Journal of Peptide Science is a cooperative venture of John Wiley & Sons, Ltd and the European Peptide Society, undertaken for the advancement of international peptide science by the publication of original research results and reviews. The Journal of Peptide Science publishes three types of articles: Research Articles, Rapid Communications and Reviews.
