Health Systems & Reform

ISSN: 2328-8604eISSN: 2328-8620
DOAJ Logo
Health Systems & Reform (HS&R) is the first peer-reviewed, Open Access journal that is dedicated to bridging research, theory and analysis with knowledge and experience in health systems and reform, and aims at becoming a global platform for sharing positive and normative lessons in this field. Most health systems around the world are at various stages of reform cycles.

Aging, chronic diseases, persistent infectious diseases, and new healthcare technologies are among mounting challenges that require innovative and cost-effective approaches to healthcare delivery and reform. On the other hand, there is no international journal that is dedicated to catalyzing cross-national knowledge transfer and translation in health systems and reform. HS&R will fill this gap.

HS&R strives to become the journal of excellence and reference in health systems and reform. The journal’s mission is to create a global platform for sharing cutting edge knowledge, skills, and lessons in health systems and reform and to provide answers that matter for leaders, professionals, and students looking for research, data, information, with a focus on lessons for health systems and reform. Most importantly, HS&R will contribute to strengthening health systems and to improving care delivered to patients.

Each issue of HS&R will include cutting-edge research articles and commentaries addressing critical topics in health systems financing, health systems management, public health, health policy, and health economics.

Research articles will examine health reforms from national and cross-national perspectives and will include positive and normative analysis and recommendations. The journal is committed to publishing articles that examine the processes and the consequences of health reform efforts around the world. Every issue will also include commentaries from healthcare leaders, such as ministers of health, CEOs of healthcare companies, and heads of nonprofit and nongovernmental institutions. These leaders will share their experiences, concerns, and policy lessons with a global audience.

We encourage academics, practitioners, and leaders in public health and other relevant health system stakeholders to submit their articles to Health Systems & Reform. Prospective authors are encouraged to contact the Editors-in-Chief with proposals and ideas for articles.

European Journal of Engineering Education

ISSN: 0304-3797eISSN: 1469-5898

European Journal of Engineering Education is published six times a year in print and electronic editions and provides an essential forum for dialogue between researchers and specialists in the field of engineering education, at European and worldwide levels.European Journal of Engineering Education is the Official Journal of SEFI, the Soci233;t233; Europ233;enne pour la Formation des Ing233;nieurs (the European Society for Engineering Education). SEFI is a non-governmental organization whose aims are to develop information about engineering education, to improve communication and exchange between professors, researchers and students and to promote cooperation between the various institutions concerned with engineering education.European Journal of Engineering Education examines the economic, cultural, and social factors which influence the education of engineers in different societies and provides a forum in which teachers and researchers in engineering schools, institutions and industry can share accounts of good practice and discuss methodology. Technological change constantly creates new demands on both engineers and the educational system that produces them. The Journal contributes to the development and improvement of engineering education necessary to meet those demands. While European Journal of Engineering Education puts a special emphasis on specific European developments in the field of engineering education, the Journal also welcomes papers presenting a worldwide perspective and with an international or intercultural dimension. In addition to regular issues, from time to time the Journal also publishes special themed issues, each with a specially appointed Guest Editor, which concentrate on a theme that is of general value to everyone involved in engineering education and has particular applications within different engineering disciplines. The structure and organization of the JournalThe Journal welcomes research papers as well as position papers and review articles that debate and explore strategic, theoretical and methodological issues, methodological approaches (assessed best practice), and substantive topics.
