The purpose of the Journal of Luminescence is to provide a means of communication between scientists in different disciplines who share a common interest in the electronic excited state of molecular, ionic and covalent systems, whether crystalline, amorphous, or liquid.We invite original papers and reviews on such subjects as: exciton and polariton dynamics, dynamics, dynamics of localized excited states, energy transport in ordered and disordered systems, radiative and non-radiative recombination, relaxation processes, vibronic interactions in electronic excited states, photochemistry in condensed systems, excited state resonance, double resonance, etc, selective excitation spectroscopy, coherent processes in excited states, e.g. coherent optical transients, photon echoes, transient gratings, multiphoton processes such as optical bistability, hole burning, photochromism, multiphoton spectroscopy, new techniques for the study of excited states. This list is not intended to be exhaustive. Papers in the traditional areas of optical spectroscopy (absorption, MCD, luminescence, Raman scattering) are welcome. Papers on applications (phosphors, electro- and cathodo-luminescence, radiography, energy conversion, etc.) are also welcome if they present results of scientific, rather than only technological interest.Whatever the subject, to be accepted a paper must present some genuinely novel result of sufficient importance to justify publication in an international journal. All papers will be refereed. Authors may submit their papers if they wish to an associate editor, but the final responsibility for accepting or rejecting a paper rests with the general editor. Every effort will be made to ensure that submitted papers are acted on promptly. They should appear in print within four months of receipt in final form. Short communications are welcome and will be handled expeditiously.

The Journal of Magnetic Resonance presents original technical and scientific papers in all aspects of magnetic resonance, including nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) of solids and liquids, electron spin/paramagnetic resonance (EPR), in vivomagnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS), nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) and magnetic resonance phenomena at nearly zero fields or in combination with optics. The Journal's main aims include deepening the physical principles underlying all these spectroscopies, publishing significant theoretical and experimental results leading to spectral and spatial progress in these areas, and opening new MR-based applications in chemistry, biology and medicine. The Journal of Marine and Island Cultures, an international journal, is the official journal of the Institution for Marine and Island Cultures, Republic of Korea. The Journal of Marine and Island Cultures publishes peer-reviewed, original research papers, reviews, reports, and comments covering all aspects of the humanities and cultural issues pertaining to the marine and island environment. In addition the journal publishes articles that present integrative research conducted across interdisciplinary boundaries, including studies examining the sustainability of the living environment, nature-ecological resources and the socio-economic systems of islands and islanders. The Journal of Materials Processing Technology covers the processing techniques used in manufacturing components from metals and other materials. The journal aims to publish full research papers of original, significant and rigorous work and so to contribute to increased production efficiency and improved component performance.Areas of interest to the journal include:• Casting, forming and machining• Additive processing and joining technologies• The evolution of material properties under the specific conditions met in manufacturing processes• Surface engineering when it relates specifically to a manufacturing process• Design and behavior of equipment and toolsThe core interest of the journal is the processing of metals, but we also cover other materials, where the article is focused on the influence of the process on the materials, and where there are not other more appropriate dedicated journals. For example ductile forming of polymers if of interest, but the influence of polymer composition on properties is well covered in dedicated polymer journals.A typical article will examine the influence of process design, tool design, or process operating conditions on the properties of the material or the future performance of the equipment. Most articles combine appropriate quantitative analysis with well designed experiments. The sciences of materials, tribology and thermodynamics are well covered in other dedicated journals, so these topics are of interest to this journal only when applied specifically to give insight into the processing techniques used in manufacturing components. For example, processes for engineering surfaces are of interest, but the analysis of friction is well covered by specialised journals of wear or tribology.The journal's Editorial Policy defines our basis for considering submissions. Typical published articles will contribute significant new transferable knowledge in the form of (a) an innovation or (b) a new insight into material processing in the form of a transferable qualitative or quantitative explanation of a difference between experimental measurements and the predictions of existing theory. 'Transferable' knowledge applies to materials or processing conditions broader than those tested within the article.The Journal of Materials Processing Technology generally does not accept papers in the following areas:• Simulation with no experimental verification and/or which gives no new insight into the process• Experimental reports which do not provide a convincing analytical or physical explanation of observed behaviour• Topics that properly belong to the materials science literature. Examples include the synthesis of materials, chemical experiments and studies of material composition.• The analysis of material properties, surfaces or product performance without reference to the processing which caused them.• Statistical methods or techniques from Artificial Intelligence which treat the process as a black box.• The operation of equipment, without reference to materials (such as tool path design in CNC machining), or the management of factory systems.As stated in the journal's editorial policy, the Journal of Materials Processing Technology does not accept multiple-part papers, short communications or case studies.Papers submitted to the journal will only be considered if they have been prepared according to the journal's Guide for Authors.

The Journal of Materials Research and Technology is a publication of ABM - Brazilian Metallurgical, Materials and Mining Association - and publishes four issues per year also with a free version online (www.jmrt.com.br). The Journal of Mathematical Behavior solicits original research on the learning and teaching of mathematics. We are interested especially in basic research, research that aims to clarify, in detail and depth, how mathematical ideas develop in learners. As our founding editor, Robert B. In the Editors view, the formal mathematical expression of economic ideas is of vital importance to economics. Such an expression can determine whether a loose economic intuition has a coherent, logical meaning. Also, a full formal development of economic ideas can itself suggest new economic concepts and intuitions.The primary objective of the Journal is to provide a forum for work in economic theory which expresses economic ideas using formal mathematical reasoning. For work to add to this primary objective, it is not sufficient that the mathematical reasoning be new and correct. The work should have real economic content. It is cosponsored by the four military medical universities of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. All of the four universities enjoy high reputation in medical science. The main purpose of Journal of Medical Hypotheses and Ideas is to remove these obstacles and provide an appropriate environment to share the huge mass of ideas of the whole medical society.

Normally in the current journals, articles that are not in accordance with the main paradigm of the medical society cannot be accepted. In Journal of Medical Hypotheses and Ideas, the editorial board is not going to edit inside the articles and change them; instead it is going to choose between the ideas and hypotheses that have been admitted to the board. In fact, the author is responsible of the ideas and hypotheses that have been expressed. As a matter of fact, all submission must pass through peer review process.

In the field of science each innovation starts with an idea, then the idea will be translated to a research protocol, and upon completing that protocol a proof of concept will be achieved. In this way an article could be published or a patent registered and the rights be assigned to the author. Journal of Medical Hypotheses and Ideas considers new or modified ideas and protocols to facilitate the process of idea sharing and innovation and also assigning some kind of right to the idea holder.

One of the intentions of Journal of Medical Hypotheses and Ideas as an international journal is to consider submissions from the global scientific community to provide a medium of communication of scientists from different parts of the world. Journal of Molecular Catalysis A: Chemical publishes full papers that are original, rigorous, and scholarly contributions examining the molecular and atomic aspects of catalytic activation and reaction mechanisms in homogeneous catalysis, heterogeneous catalysis (including supported organometallic catalysis) and computational catalysis.The Journal also publishes timely reviews of specialized topics within the scope outlined above, however prospective authors must obtain preliminary approval from the Editor-in-Chief before preparing such an article.Accepted manuscripts of exceptional quality and substantial interest to the readership may be selected by Editors to feature in the 'Editors Choice' section of the Journal.Contributions that do not fall within the above aims and scope will be rejected at the editorial level. Examples of papers falling into this category are those for which the major focus is on preparative inorganic chemistry and associated structural characterisation, on polymer characterisation, or on the synthetic organic applications of catalysis, rather than the molecular and atomic aspects of catalytic activation and reaction mechanism.In keeping with the aims and scope of the journal, it is expected that catalyst activity be appropriately expressed. Thus, homogeneous systems are ideally characterised by kinetic analysis from which macro- or micro-scopic rate constants can be presented. At the very minimum, turnover number and frequency should be reported. For heterogeneous catalysis, activity should ideally be expressed in turnover frequencies per site or at least per unit area of active component measured using an appropriate method, such as chemisorption or estimated from the particle size obtained by such techniques as transmission electron microscopy or XRD line-broadening. The Journal of Molecular Graphics and Modelling is devoted to the publication of papers on the uses of computers in theoretical investigations of molecular structure, function, interaction, and design. The scope of the journal includes all aspects of molecular modeling and computational chemistry, including, for instance, the study of molecular shape and properties, molecular simulations, protein and polymer engineering, drug design, materials design, structure-activity and structure-property relationships, database mining, and compound library design.As a primary research journal, JMGM seeks to bring new knowledge to the attention of our readers. As such, submissions to the journal need to not only report results, but must draw conclusions and explore implications of the work presented. Authors are strongly encouraged to bear this in mind when preparing manuscripts. Routine applications of standard modelling approaches, providing only very limited new scientific insight, will not meet our criteria for publication. Reproducibility of reported calculations is an important issue. The Journal of Neurolinguistics is an international forum for the integration of the neurosciences and language sciences. JNL provides for rapid publication of novel, peer-reviewed research into the interaction between language, communication and brain processes. The focus is on rigorous studies of an empirical or theoretical nature and which make an original contribution to our knowledge about the involvement of the nervous system in communication and its breakdowns. Contributions from neurology, communication disorders, linguistics, neuropsychology and cognitive science in general are welcome.
