ISSN: 2405-5808eISSN: 2405-5808
DOAJ Logo

Biochemistry and Biophysics Reports publishes original research in all aspects of Biochemistry, Biophysics and related areas like Molecular and Cell Biology. The primary criteria for acceptance are that the work is original, scientifically and technically sound and provides valuable knowledge to life sciences research.

Biochemistry and Biophysics Reports welcomes cutting-edge science and in-depth studies from authors seeking open access publishing. In addition, we welcome promising though more preliminary, descriptive and small scale results if they have potential to stimulate and/or contribute to future research. We also encourage research reports covering negative findings, as well as reanalyses of previous datasets and studies leading to new insights or hypothesis. We strongly believe all these results deserve to be published and documented for the advancement of science.

The journal offers a high-quality, impartial and constructive review process. Editors and Reviewers work with the Authors to ensure that accepted papers present sound results to be shared in a structured way with the life sciences community.

Biomaterials

ISSN: 0142-9612

Biomaterials is an international journal covering the science and clinical application of biomaterials. A biomaterial is now defined as a substance that has been engineered to take a form which, alone or as part of a complex system, is used to direct, by control of interactions with components of living systems, the course of any therapeutic or diagnostic procedure. It is the aim of the journal to provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of original papers and authoritative review and opinion papers dealing with the most important issues facing the use of biomaterials in clinical practice. The scope of the journal covers the wide range of physical, biological and chemical sciences that underpin the design of biomaterials and the clinical disciplines in which they are used. These sciences include polymer synthesis and characterization, drug and gene vector design, the biology of the host response, immunology and toxicology and self assembly at the nanoscale. Clinical applications include the therapies of medical technology and regenerative medicine in all clinical disciplines, and diagnostic systems that reply on innovative contrast and sensing agents. The journal is relevant to areas such as cancer diagnosis and therapy, implantable devices, drug delivery systems, gene vectors, bionanotechnology and tissue engineering.Click here for New Editorial Instructions.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
