The Journal of Agricultural, Biological, and Environmental Statistics (JABES) publishes papers of immediate and practical value to applied researchers and statistical consultants in the agricultural sciences, the biological sciences (including biotechnology), and the environmental sciences (including those dealing with natural resources). Only papers that address applied statistical problems will be considered. Interdisciplinary papers as well as papers that illustrate the application of new and important statistical methods using real data are strongly encouraged. For regular papers, a motivating example should be presented early in the paper. The statistical development should then be presented, and the results applied to the example. Expository, review, and survey articles addressing broad-based statistical issues are encouraged. Journal of Anatomy publishes original papers, invited review articles and book reviews. Its main focus is on contributions to understanding development, evolution and function through a broad range of anatomical approaches. Articles covering bioinformatics and other topics that clarify or provide tools for functional anatomical understanding will also be sympathetically considered. Priority will be given to experimental studies, to contributions based on molecular and cell biology, and on the application of modern functional imaging techniques. Studies that are essentially descriptive anatomy will only be published if the Editors consider that they are of functional significance. Journal of Anatomy also publishes Brief Communications: these are brief papers (up to 3 journal pages) that present new ideas or data of particular originality and timeliness. The editors will also consider publishing Letters (1-2 pages) on scientific issues of clear relevance to the scope of interest of the Journal.
The Journal of Applied Biomechanics (JAB), formerly known as the International Journal of Sport Biomechanics, accepts articles that pertain to the applied aspects of human biomechanics in sport, exercise, and rehabilitation. Studies of importance in theory development are also considered. Research examining the effect and control of forces that act on and are produced by the human body is encouraged. Similarly, studies related to modeling and human movement simulation and to the effects of internal and external forces on body structures during skill development and rehabilitation are appropriate for JAB. Equal consideration will be given to studies involving participants of all levels of ability or disability.The Journal of Applied Biomechanics publishes original research reports, invited review papers, and “target” articles on selected current issues in the field.
