Social change within the countries of Central Europe has brought major changes in agriculture. The abandonment of central planning and the introduction of the open market have created a need for the quickest possible exchange of knowledge. All countries in transition have similar problems; so a logical step is to create a shared journal. The beginning of a new millennium and the spreading of new electronic technologies creates new fields of publishing and easier access to knowledge from remote places. Besides a need for knowledge, there is a need to share problems and solutions with our neighbours but it is also equally important to keep and develop our national languages and identities. We have tried to combine such contradictory problems in one unifying electronic agricultural journal for Central and Eastern Europe. Not less important intention is to ease the demand on the present West European journals in agriculture, and to give opportunity and encouragement to Central European scientists to publish faster. The multilingual strategy of the journal accepts the world intention to preserve and support the development of national languages. The Journal publishes original articles, rapid communication of information and proceedings of scientific meetings in English, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovak and Slovenian.

It is the aim of this journal to meet two main objectives: to cover the latest research on discrete random structures, and to present applications of such research to problems in combinatorics and computer science. The goal is to provide a natural home for a significant body of current research, and a useful forum for ideas on future studies in randomness. Results concerning random graphs, hypergraphs, matroids, trees, mappings, permutations, matrices, sets and orders, as well as stochastic graph processes and networks are presented with particular emphasis on the use of probabilistic methods in combinatorics as developed by Paul Erdos. The journal focuses on probabilistic algorithms, average case analysis of deterministic algorithms, and applications of probabilistic methods to cryptography, data structures, searching and sorting. The journal also devotes space to such areas of probability theory as percolation, random walks and combinatorial aspects of probability. The editors will accept reviews and papers of obvious relevance, which describe important new concepts, underpin understanding of the above areas of interest or provide important insights into the practical application, manufacture and commercialisation of bio-sensing and sensing technologies.

The South African Journal of Accounting Research (SAJAR) publishes peer-reviewed original research papers, notes and commentaries that address issues relevant to accounting academics and professional accountants in Southern Africa and elsewhere. This includes areas of interest in the study and practice in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management, management accounting, finance, ethics and information systems. Research papers should be analytical and make a contribution to knowledge in the field. They may be empirically based (including survey and case study methods) or review and theoretically based. Notes and commentaries should meet all the criteria for good quality research, however their interest and topicality may compensate for the research problem being less rigorously pursued. Notes and commentaries would typically be shorter than research papers.

To provide a balanced presentation contributions are welcomed from the fields mentioned above, and from related areas, such as environmental accounting, corporate law, corporate governance, and accounting education. These fields may be approached from a wide variety of perspectives such as the behavioural, technological, institutional, organisational, regulatory, societal, educational, or environmental. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent for evaluation based on the double blind peer-review procedure.

Structure aims to publish papers of exceptional interest in the field of structural biology. The journal strives to be essential reading for structural biologists, as well as biologists and biochemists that are interested in macromolecular structure and function. Structure strongly encourages the submission of manuscripts that present structural and molecular insights into biological function and mechanism. Other reports that address fundamental questions in structural biology, such as structure-based examinations of protein evolution, folding and/or design, will also be considered favorably. We will consider the application of any method, experimental or computational, at high or low resolution, to conduct structural investigations, as long as the method is appropriate for the biological, functional, and mechanistic question(s) being addressed. Likewise, reports describing single molecule analysis of biological mechanisms are welcome.
