International Journal of Plasticity

ISSN: 0749-6419eISSN: 1879-2154

The purpose of the journal is to report original research on all aspects of plastic deformation, damage and fracture behaviour of isotropic as well as anisotropic solids, including the thermodynamics of plasticity and fracture, continuum theory, and macroscopic as well as microscopic phenomena.The topics of interest include plastic behaviour of single crystals and polycrystalline metals, ceramics, rocks and soils, composites, nanocrystalline and microelectronics materials, shape memory alloys, ferroelectric ceramics, thin films and polymers, as well as plasticity aspects of failure and fracture mechanics. Significant experimental, numerical or theoretical contributions advancing the understanding of plastic behaviour of solids are of special interest, together with studies relating macroscopic to the microscopic behaviour of solids. Papers on modeling of finite nonlinear elastic deformation, with similarities to modeling of plastic deformation, are also welcome.The Journal will contain research papers, review articles, research notes, letters to the editor, and academic advertisements (books, journals, conferences, and symposia). Strain-rate dependent and strain-rate independent constitutive models to predict observed phemonena during quasi-static, dynamic or cyclic thermo-mechanical loading, behaviour of granular or porous solids under high confining pressures and at high temperatures, multiscale modeling of various deformation mechanisms (dislocation, twinning, and phase transformation), and models with capability for predicting the behaviour of composite materials based onknown plastic behaviour of matrix and fibers in such materials, are some examples of the main themes of this journal. Revealing applications of the new models of plasticity, including modelling of the observed phenomena in metal forming processes are also of interest.

Journal of Texture Studies: A Journal for Food Oral Processing Research

ISSN: 0022-4901eISSN: 1745-4603

The Journal of Texture Studies is a peer-reviewed international journal historically specialized in the texture and sensory perception of food and other consumer products. The journal was first published in 1969 and has been the primary source for disseminating advances in all sciences related to physical characterization and sensory perception of texture, in particular in areas such as food rheology and microstructure, tactile senses and texture perception, texture features and material attributes (composition, structure, and processing), food oral consumption, and studies associated with eating and sensory appreciation.With the ever expanding research interests of texture studies and increasing cross-disciplinary research with the allied health industries, the Journal has redefined its scope to better reflect the broadened research activities and interests associated with texture and sensory perception. Recent developments in the discipline reveal a greater awareness of the essential role of oral and brain processes in texture and perception. Beyond the traditional subject matter of the journal, the editors welcome research articles, research notes, review papers, and discussion papers from contributors of food physics, oral physiology, sensory psychology, and other relevant disciplines. Some key areas/topics includes (but not limited to):• Rheology, fracture mechanics, and microstructure in relation to texture, flavor and processing• Modeling and simulation of eating processes• Oral receptors and texture perception• Oral tribology• Food-saliva interactions• Measuring and quantifying texture attributes instrumentally and by panels• Novel techniques and optimization of instrumental tests• Psychophysics and psychorheology• Receptor responses and sensory perception in the brain• Food design and engineering for enhanced oral experience and for vulnerable consumersThe Journal also accepts reviews of books particularly pertinent to the field.

DOAJ Logo
The  Journal of World Languages explores the linguistic, communicative and socio-cultural implications of the global spread of major languages and the impact this is having on the world’s linguistic mapping.  Recognizing that the phenomenon of becoming a world language encompasses a growing number of languages with significant implications for the development of these languages, the  Journal of World Languages encourages a comparative approach to the study of the roles of education, the media, the economy, etc.  in contributing to the growth of a world language.

The Journal of World Languages welcomes papers on topics addressing questions such as those listed below:

  • What is a "world language": international? global? Or are these different?
  • How does being a world language impact on local identities, whether ethnic, national, or socio-economic?
  • What is the effect of language technology on the process?
  • What is the effect of the worldwide growth of a language on the writing system, and the distance between speech and writing?
  • What is the effect of world language on multimodal communication?
  • What is the role of language planning:
    (i) systemic: reform of script, regulation of grammar or vocabulary;
    (ii) institutional: language education policy?
  • What are typical speakers' (users') attitudes to the phenomenon:
    (i) L1 (i.e., native speakers of a world language);
    (ii) L2 (i.e., non-native speakers of a world language)?
  • What variation is associated with growth towards "world language" status:
    (i) Dialectal, i.e., user-based variation?
    (ii) Diatypic, i.e., use-based variation (such as register)?
  • What are the implications of the "world language" phenomenon for a general linguistic theory?

The  Journal of World Languages is a cross-disciplinary journal whose coverage of the effects of globalization on languages extends coverage to all world languages.

Comprehensive Results in Social Psychology

ISSN: 2374-3603eISSN: 2374-3611

Comprehensive Results in Social Psychology is devoted to publishing social psychological research using the registered report format where a plan for the research is submitted for initial review. The journal aims to foster empirical debate, testing of theories, scientific discovery, and replications, all under the auspices of open scientific communication and exchange.

If the plan for research is accepted as being methodologically sound and theoretically important, authors are guaranteed publication of the manuscript irrespective of the outcome of data analysis. In this way, the journal offers the opportunity to publish crucial research questions and ideas to be reviewed before the data are obtained and to be published independent of the outcome of the research. Thereby the journal aims to improve the science of psychology. Results of registered reports are published in full and can be complemented by exploratory results.

Suitable topics cover the whole range of contemporary social psychology from any theoretical approach, and can be either fundamental or applied. We also welcome submissions from adjacent disciplines that draw on social psychological methods and theorizing.

The journal especially welcomes cooperative submissions (e.g., when different theoretical approaches make opposing predictions), research in which reliable and well-specified conditions are set to allow for discovery, and submissions bridging cultural contexts.

Comprehensive Results in Social Psychology publishes original research, replications and extensions, longitudinal and intervention studies, and meta-analyses. Submissions can be considered for publication as regular articles or brief reports. The journal is published under the auspices of the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) in partnership with the Society of Australasian Social Psychologists (SASP).

Peer Review Integrity
All published articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and, by default, open (non-blind) refereeing by independent, expert referees.
