Social work as an academic discipline was reintroduced to universities in the Chinese mainland in the 1980s. The number of universities offering social work programs has increased drastically in the past two decades. Social services provided by government organizations and NGOs have also proliferated as a response to rising social problems and needs. China Journal of Social Work (CJSW) is the first academic English journal jointly edited from Hong Kong and mainland China, to focus on social work development taking place in China. CJSW is an international peer-reviewed journal published by the Taylor and Francis Group, in collaboration with Peking University - The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China Social Work Research Centre. The journal endeavours to provide a platform for scholars within and outside mainland China to share research, teaching and practice experiences and to facilitate critical dialogue between Chinese social workers and their international peers.The journal welcomes submissions from all areas of social work theory and practice, social work education, social development, and social policy in the Chinese context. While the journal will primarily focus on the Chinese mainland, it welcomes contributions from other countries and regions, which have broad implications for social work internationally.CJSW aims to:Document updated social policy trends and initiatives in social work and social development in different Chinese societies.Encourage international dialogue and debates on issues related to social work theory and practice, social work education, social development, and social policy in the Chinese context.Promote indigenization of social work theory and practice in the Chinese context.Serve as a catalyst to promote positive social development and to enhance social betterment in Chinese societies. CJSW is published three times a year (in April, July, and November). The journal strikes a balance between qualitative and quantitative research. All articles are published in English, but quality academic papers written in Chinese are welcomed for peer review. Journal Philosophy

JTR is particularly interested in those studies that are inter-disciplinary, cross-cultural, cross-level, multi-method, context-rich, process-oriented, and practice-relevant in perspectives, so as to effectively investigate the holistic content and dynamic process of organizational and societal trust, without the perils of reductionist assumptions. JTR identifies the above as the emerging trends with the greatest potential to contribute to our rich and deep understanding about the complex phenomenon of trust.

Journal Scope

As an inter-disciplinary and cross-cultural journal dedicated to advancing a cross-level, context-rich, process-oriented, and practice-relevant journal, JTR provides a focal point for an open  dialogue and debate between diverse researchers, thus enhancing the understanding of trust in general and trust-related management in particular, especially in its organizational and social context in the broadest sense. Through both theoretical development and empirical investigation, JTR seeks to open the "black-box" of trust in various contexts.

JTR aims to publish relevant and rigorous research contributing to knowledge in six major domains that are interdisciplinary and cross-cultural:

• General research on trust to build an integrative framework with a common language across disciplines and across cultures (building upon but extending beyond disciplinary and cultural perspectives)
• General research on trust at and across the levels of individual, group, organization,  community, and nation
• Specific research on trust management within and between organizations and societies
• Specific research on interpersonal trust within and between organizations and societies
• Specific research on institutional trust within and between organizations and societies
• Specific research on inter-organizational and social trust within and across nations  

Journal Readership

The Journal of Peasant Studies is increasing to 5 issues per volume from 2011 The Journal of Peasant Studies is one of the leading journals in the field of rural development. It was founded on the initiative of Terence J. Byres and its first editors were Byres, Charles Curwen and Teodor Shanin. It provokes and promotes critical thinking about social structures, institutions, actors and processes of change in and in relation to the rural world. It encourages inquiry into how agrarian power relations between classes and other social groups are created, understood, contested and transformed. The Journal pays special attention to questions of 'agency' of marginalized groups in agrarian societies, particularly their autonomy and capacity to interpret - and change - their conditions. The Journal promotes contributions that question mainstream prescriptions or interrogate orthodoxies in radical thinking. It welcomes contributions that explore theoretical, policy and political alternatives. The Journal encourages contributions about a wide range of contemporary and historical questions and perspectives related to rural development. These are issues that confront peasants, farmers, rural labourers, migrant workers, indigenous peoples, forest dwellers, pastoralists, fisherfolk and rural youth - both female and male - in different parts of the world. The editor welcomes contributions from scholars in the fields of political science, development studies, anthropology, sociology, geography, history, economics, law, cultural studies, gender studies, environmental studies, and interdisciplinary fields. There are three sections in the Journal: Articles, Grassroots Voices, and Reviews Section. Survey articles are encouraged and special issues are published occasionally. Thematic cluster of articles and a debate subsection will be published from time to time.The Grassroots Voices section encourages views that are written and presented in non-academic style but provide important insights and information relevant to critical rural development studies and is guest edited. Essays in this section, which are generally shorter (at about 3,000 words) include: commentaries, interviews, field mission reports, event analyses, and movement profiles. The Reviews section publishes reviews of important theoretical or policy-oriented books or films written for diverse audiences. The Krishna Bharadwaj Prize and the Eric Wolf Prize From 2009 the Krishna Bharadwaj & Eric Wolf prize will be awarded once every two years for an outstanding article published in The Journal of Peasant Studies (JPS) by a 'young scholar'. A young scholar is someone who is either a graduate student or a scholar who has held a PhD degree for no longer than four years when the article was first submitted to the journal. An article jointly authored by a young and a senior scholar qualifies. The award commemorates two long-standing and distinguished members of the Editorial Advisory Board of JPS: the political economist Krishna Bharadwaj (1935-92) and the anthropologist Eric Wolf (1923-99). All articles, except for Notes and Communications, published in the relevant volumes are eligible. Analytical creativity and originality is the basis for the awards. Peer Review All submissions published in this journal undergo a refereeing process.

Issues in Mental Health Nursing is a refereed journal designed to expand psychiatric and mental health nursing knowledge. It deals with new, innovative approaches to client care, in-depth analysis of current issues, and empirical research. Because clinical research is the primary vehicle for the development of nursing science, the journal presents data-based articles on nursing care provision to clients of all ages in a variety of community and institutional settings. Additionally, the journal publishes theoretical papers and manuscripts addressing mental health promotion, public policy concerns, and educational preparation of mental health nurses. International contributions are welcomed.

The Journal of Advanced Transportation is a fully peer reviewed international journal in the general area of transportation. It publishes papers ranging from methodological to descriptive case studies in analysis, planning, design, technology, economics and operations of transport and traffic systems. Transport Planning, Urban Rail and Bus Systems, Air & Water transport, Intelligent Transport Systems, Highway and Traffic Engineering, Transport and Traffic Systems Analysis, and Transport in Developing Countries are some topics of interest.

The Journal of Algebra and Its Applications will publish papers both on theoretical and on applied aspects of Algebra. There is special interest in papers that point out innovative links between areas of Algebra and fields of application. As the field of Algebra continues to experience tremendous growth and diversification, we intend to provide the mathematical community with a central source for information on both the theoretical and the applied aspects of the discipline. While the journal will be primarily devoted to the publication of original research, extraordinary expository articles that encourage communication between algebraists and experts on areas of application as well as those presenting the state of the art on a given algebraic sub-discipline will be considered.

The Journal of American Ethnic History (JAEH) addresses various aspects of American immigration and ethnic history, including background of emigration, ethnic and racial groups, Native Americans, immigration policies, and the processes of acculturation. Each issue contains articles, review essays and single book reviews. There are also occasional sections on "Research Comments" (short articles that furnish important information for the field, a guide to further research or other significant historical items that will stimulate discussion and inquiry) and "Teaching and Outreach" (essays which focus on innovative teaching methods or outreach efforts). The journal has also published special issues on particular responses from authors on specific topics.

The Journal publishes selected articles from Sibirskii Zhurnal Industrial’noi Matematiki and Diskretnyi Analiz i Issledovanie Operatsii on mathematical research in natural sciences, technology, ecology, medicine, and economics. The publications are devoted to the qualitative theory of differential equations, mathematical simulation in mechanics, technical physics, chemistry, biology, economics, discrete mathematics, mathematical research in the mechanics of solids, mechanics of fluids and gases, mechanics of inhomogeneous media, filtering, management, and informatics theory, problems of discrete optimization and graph theory, development and analysis of algorithms, synthesis and complexity of control systems, coding and automata theory, decision analysis and theoretical scheduling problems, game theory and applications. Mathematical chemistry, biology, and medicine are also well presented in the Journal.

The Journal of Carbohydrate Chemistry serves as an international forum for research advances involving the chemistry and biology of carbohydrates. Journal of Chinese Political Science (JCPS) is a refereed academic journal that publishes theoretical, policy, and empirical research articles on Chinese politics across the whole spectrum of political science, with emphasis on Chinese domestic politics and foreign policy in comparative perspectives. However, JCPS also welcomes manuscripts on different aspects of contemporary China when these relate closely to Chinese politics, political economy, political culture, reform and opening, development, the military, law and legal system, foreign relations, and other important issues of political significance.

The Journal of Clinical Hypertension is a peer-reviewed, monthly publication that serves family practitioners, internists, and cardiologists by providing objective, up-to-date information and practical recommendations on the treatment of hypertension. As newer studies are completed, they are summarized and critiqued. Reviews of recent publications in other journals and original papers that focus on the clinical management of hypertension are featured. The Journal of Clinical Nursing (JCN) is an international, peer reviewed, scientific journal that seeks to promote the development and exchange of knowledge that is directly relevant to all spheres of nursing and midwifery practice. The primary aim is to promote a high standard of clinically related scholarship which supports the practice and discipline of nursing. JCN publishes high quality papers on issues related to clinical nursing, regardless of where care is provided. This includes - but is not limited to - ambulatory care, community care, family care, home, hospital, practice, primary and secondary, and public health.

Journal of Consumer Culture (JOC), edited by Doug Holt, is a fully peer reviewed journal which promotes multidisciplinary research focused on consumption and consumer culture. Publishing three times a year, and indexed in ISI - Impact Factor pending, it adopts a global perspective critically drawing on both theory and empirical research within history, anthropology, media studies, sociology, marketing, geography, and beyond.

Founded in 1974, the Journal of Consumer Research publishes scholarly research that describes and explains consumer behavior. Empirical, theoretical, and methodological articles spanning fields such as psychology, marketing, sociology, economics, and anthropology are featured in this interdisciplinary journal. The primary thrust of JCR is academic, rather than managerial, with topics ranging from micro-level processes (e.g., brand choice) to more macro-level issues (e.g., the development of materialistic values).

Clinical Research in Cardiology is an international journal for clinical cardiovascular research. It provides a forum for original and review articles as well as critical perspective articles. Articles are only accepted if they meet stringent scientific standards and have undergone peer review. The journal regularly receives articles from the field of clinical cardiology, angiology, as well as heart and vascular surgery. As the official journal of the German Cardiac Society, it gives a current and competent survey on the diagnosis and therapy of heart and vascular diseases. Supplemental issues are published in Clinical Research of Cardiology Supplements.

Computational & Applied Mathematics began to be published in 1981. This journal was conceived as the main scientific publication of SBMAC (Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics).   The objective of the journal is the publication of original research in Applied and Computational Mathematics, with interfaces in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Operations Research, Statistics, Social Sciences and Economy. The journal has the usual quality standards of scientific international journals and we aim high level of contributions in terms of originality, depth and relevance. Computational Statistics (CompStat) is an international journal that fosters the publication of applications and methodological research in the field of computational statistics. The journal provides a forum for computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians working in a variety of areas in statistics, including biometrics, econometrics, data analysis, graphics, simulation, algorithms, knowledge-based systems, and Bayesian computing.
