The Journal of Island & Coastal Archaeology (JICA) is aimed at archaeologists and other scientists with interests in the archaeology and historical ecology of islands and other coastal settings. This bi-annual journal publishes original research papers, major review articles, short notes, occasional book reviews, and forums of significance to a broad international audience. We encourage submissions on a variety of innovative and interdisciplinary topics, including broad syntheses of particular islands or coastal regions around the world, major methodological and theoretical advances in the study of island and coastal societies, and the historical ecology and human impacts of island and coastal ecosystems around the world. JICA provides an international forum for scholars from a variety of disciplines who share a common interest in studying islands, archipelagoes, and coastal regions. This is the only journal which presents papers on both the base technology and theory as well as all varieties of applications. It encompasses all aspects of the three major technologies: text-to-speech synthesis, automatic speech recognition and stored (digitized) speech.

Although sport nutrition represents a distinct field of academic and applied work, it receives input from—and makes contributions to—such fields as nutrition, physiology, biochemistry, psychology, clinical medicine, and the sport and exercise sciences. Since its inception, the International Journal of Sport Nutrition provided a forum for those studying sport nutrition from a variety of perspectives. At the same time, exercise biochemists have been studying the metabolic responses and adaptations to physical activity, creating an overlap between the two areas of study. Recognizing the maturity and interdependence of these two scientific disciplines, the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism (IJSNEM) was created. The journal is designed to provide a forum for the publication of both scholarly and applied work relating to the nutritional, biochemical, and molecular aspects of exercise science.IJSNEM publishes original scientific investigations and scholarly reviews offering new insights into sport nutrition and exercise metabolism, as well as articles focusing on the application of the principles of biochemistry, physiology, and nutrition to sport and exercise. Original research with human subjects will be emphasized, although relevant research with experimental animals may be submitted. Case studies that demonstrate systematic, rather than casual, observation made with appropriate instrumentation, and articles with clinical application will be included. Research works addressing critical areas of reactor engineering (e.g. reactor materials, control strategies, reactor safety and environmental issues), and emerging reactor technologies (e.g. membrane reactors, chromatographic reactors, unconventional fluidized beds, electrochemical reactors, micro-reactors, etc.) are particularly welcome.Within the Chemical Engineering Journal, the Materials Synthesis and Processing section presents papers dealing with different aspects of the preparation and characterization of advanced materials. Novel physical and chemical methods of synthesis will be covered, as well as the processes used to obtain materials of different morphologies (particles, films, fibers), and to modify their surface and structural properties, always from a chemical engineering point of view. The Journal of Global Optimization publishes carefully refereed papers that deal with all theoretical, computational, and applied aspects of global optimization.
