Biogeochemistry publishes original and synthetic papers dealing with biotic controls on the chemistry of the environment, or with the geochemical control of the structure and function of ecosystems. Cycles are considered, either of individual elements or of specific classes of natural or anthropogenic compounds in ecosystems. Particular emphasis is given to coupled interactions of element cycles. The journal spans from the molecular to global scales to elucidate the mechanisms driving patterns in biogeochemical cycles through space and time. Studies on both natural and artificial ecosystems are published when they contribute to a general understanding of biogeochemistry.Biogeochemistry is in the Top 25 Journals Most Frequently Published in by Toxic Substances Hydrology Program Scientists. Under the editorship of D. LaMont Johnson, PhD, a nationally recognized leader in the field of educational computing, Computers in the Schools is supported by an editorial review board of prominent specialists in the school and educational setting. Material presented in this highly acclaimed journal goes beyond the 8220;how we did it8221; magazine article or handbook by offering a rich source of serious discussion for educators, administrators, computer center directors, and special service providers in the school setting. Articles emphasize the practical aspect of any application, but also tie theory to practice, relate present accomplishments to past efforts and future trends, identify conclusions and their implications, and discuss the theoretical and philosophical basis for the application. The development of new anticancer agents is one of the most rapidly changing aspects of cancer research. Investigational New Drugs provides a forum for the rapid dissemination of information on new anticancer agents. The papers published are of interest to the medical chemist, toxicologist, pharmacist, pharmacologist, biostatistician and clinical oncologist. Investigational New Drugs provides the fastest possible publication of new discoveries and results for the whole community of scientists developing anticancer agents.
Each issue contains original articles dealing with anticancer drug development. Other sections are devoted to invited review articles and letters to the editor. The journal also affords the opportunity to publish the proceedings of special workshops and symposia devoted to the development of new anticancer agents. Provided they add to the understanding of the investigational agents, the journal is not adverse to publishing clinical trials with negative results.

JMIR Nursing (JN, Editor-in-Chief: Elizabeth Borycki RN, PhD, FIAHIS, FACMI, FCAHS) is a peer-reviewed journal for nursing in the 21st century. The focus of this journal is original research related to the paradigm change in nursing due to health information technology and the shift toward preventative, predictive, and personalized health and nursing care. "In the 21st century the whole foundations of health care are being shaken. Technology is taking service to new heights of portability: less invasive, short-term, and with greater impact on both the length and quality of life. Along with portability is the immediately emerging impact of genomics/proteinomics with all that implies for how life processes will be dealt with, when they will be addressed, and the techniques and technologies that will be used to treat persons. Time-based nursing care with the activities of bathing, treating, changing, feeding, intervening, drugging, and discharging are quickly becoming historic references to an age of practice that no longer exists. Now the challenge for nursing practice skills relates more to taking on the activities of accessing, informing, guiding, teaching, counseling, typing, and linking. "
JAWRA seeks to be the preeminent scholarly publication on multidisciplinary water resources issues. JAWRA papers present ideas derived from multiple disciplines woven together to give insight into a critical water issue, or are based primarily upon a single discipline with important applications to other disciplines. Papers often cover the topics of recent AWRA conferences such as riparian ecology, geopraphic information systems, adaptive management, and water policy.JAWRA authors present work within their disciplinary fields to a broader audience. Our Associate Editors and reviewers reflect this diversity to ensure a knowledgeable and fair review of a broad range of topics. We particularly encourage submissions of papers which impart a 'take home message' our readers can use.
