The Journal of Comparative Physiology B publishes peer-reviewed original articles and reviews on the comparative physiology of invertebrate and vertebrate animals. Machine Learning: Earth is a multidisciplinary open access journal dedicated to the application of machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven computational methods across all areas of Earth, environmental and climate sciences including efforts to ensure a sustainable future. The journal publishes research reporting data-driven approaches that advance our knowledge of the Earth system, and of the interactions between biosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, atmosphere and geosphere. The journal also publishes research that presents methodological, theoretical, or conceptual advances in machine learning and AI with applications to Earth, environmental and climate science.

Aims and Scope
Milan Journal of Mathematics (MJM) publishes high quality articles from all areas of Mathematics and the Mathematical Sciences. The authors are invited to submit 'articles with background', presenting a problem of current research with its history and its developments, the current state and possible future directions. The presentation should render the article of interest to a wider audience than just specialists.Many of the articles will be 'invited contributions' from speakers in the 'Seminario Matematico e Fisico di Milano'. The Journal of Federalism: a virtual issue which provides a compendium of recent articles in Publius on a topical issue. The first virtual issue, available by clicking below, was edited by Patrick McGuinn on Federalism and Education Policy. This issue features Patrick’s overview on federalism and education policy and makes available previously published Publius articles on No Child Left Behind, the Race to the Top, higher education, and U.S. and Canadian education policy. This issue should be of great interest to scholars in education policy and valuable for classroom use to illustrate the dynamism and relevance of federalism in this important public policy area. This virtual issue is available at no cost for six months. Later this year we will upload a similar virtual issue on health policy. Research in Nursing & Health ( RINAH ) is a general, peer-reviewed, research journal devoted to publication of a wide range of research and theory that will inform the practice of nursing and other health disciplines. The editors invite research reports on nursing practice, education, administration, and history; on health issues relevant to nursing; and on the testing of research findings in practice. Papers on research methods and techniques are appropriate if they go beyond what is already generally available in the literature. Theory papers are accepted if knowledge is advanced; preference is given to papers in which theory is developed, rather than simply reviewed. The American Sociologist publishes papers, comments, and other writings on topics of professional and disciplinary concern to sociologists. The editors seem papers that examine the intellectual, practical, and ethical issues that affect the work, careers, and perspectives of sociologists. 'Evolving Systems' covers surveys, methodological, and application-oriented papers in the emerging area of evolving systems. Evolving systems are inspired by the idea of system model evolution in a dynamically changing and evolving environment. They use inheritance and gradual change with the aim of life-long learning and adaptation, self-organization including system structure evolution in order to adapt to the (unknown and unpredictable) environment as structures for information representation with the ability to fully adapt their structure and adjust their parameters. 'Evolving Systems' solicits publications that address the problems of modelling, control, prediction, classification and data processing in non-stationary, unpredictable environments and describe new methods and approaches for design of systems able to fully adapt its structure rather than adjust its parameters based on a pre-trained and fixed structure.
