Oceanologia, the official journal of the http://www.iopan.gda.pl/kbm/en/Committee of Marine Research and the http://www.iopan.gda.pl/index.htmlInstitute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, is an international journal that publishes results of original research in the field of marine sciences with emphasis on the European seas. Manuscripts contributing, but not limited, to the understanding of properties and processes in the marine environment in the aspect of basic sciences: biology, chemistry, physics, ecology and geochemistry will be considered for publication. Special attention will be given to papers devoted to phenomena occurring in the marine environment in the zones characterized by:
• gradients of properties (salinity, red-ox, temperature, light field, others),
• phases boundaries both abiotic and biotic/abiotic (aqueous/solid, aqueous/gaseous, biotic/solid and biotic/aqueous),
• marine-land boundary.

We also encourage the submission of manuscripts dealing with multidisciplinary approaches to the investigated phenomena, as well as those devoted to manifestations of contemporary global issues e.g. climate warming and other global change-related phenomena, and/or describing possible and actual adaptations to threats brought by these changes. Preference will be given to manuscripts covering innovative research of global significance over those devoted to strictly local issues, and to papers contributing to the marine ecosystem functioning over strictly descriptive ones.

Oceanologia also publishes special and thematic issues dedicated to specific subject areas and events. Prospective Guest Editors of potential special issues must contact the Editor-in-Chief first to check the subject and scope of the special issue.

In addition to original research papers, comprehensive review articles are welcome. Tutorial papers and brief papers containing significant new data or techniques, or commenting on previously published papers (letters to the Editor), may be published as Short Communications.

Agriculture and Human Values is the journal of the Agriculture, Food, and Human Values Society. The Journal, like the Society, is dedicated to an open and free discussion of the values that shape and the structures that underlie current and alternative visions of food and agricultural systems.To this end the Journal publishes interdisciplinary research that critically examines the values, relationships, conflicts and contradictions within contemporary agricultural and food systems and that addresses the impact of agricultural and food related institutions, policies, and practices on human populations, the environment, democratic governance, and social equity.

BioEnergy Research fills a void in the rapidly growing area of feedstock biology research related to biomass, biofuels, and bioenergy. The journal publishes a wide range of articles, including peer-reviewed scientific research, reviews, perspectives and commentary, industry news, and government policy updates. Its coverage brings together a uniquely broad combination of disciplines with a common focus on feedstock biology and science, related to biomass, biofeedstock, and bioenergy production.

Biophysics covers a wide scope of problems related to the main physical mechanisms of processes taking place on different organization levels in biosystems. It includes structure and dynamics of molecules, cells and tissues: the influence of environment: energy transformation and transfer: thermodynamics: biological motility: population dynamics and cell differentiation modeling: biomechanics and tissue rheology: non-linear phenomena, mathematical cybernetics modeling of complex systems: computational biology. Biophysics exercises a multidisciplinary approach and presents the complete pattern of relevant basic research in former Soviet and Eastern European countries. The Letters to the Editor section is dedicated to rapid publications of special interest. Reviews and mini-reviews are devoted to problems of general interest. The size of manuscripts is not limited.

This Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics is an international peer-reviewed journal published on behalf of the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society. The Journal provides a forum for scholarship in agricultural economics and farm management including agri-food-related topics concerning agribusiness, the environment and resource use. Theoretical, applied and policy-related submissions are encouraged.

Drug Research (formerly Arzneimittelforschung) is an international peer-reviewed journal with expedited processing times presenting the very latest research results related to novel and established drug molecules and the evaluation of new drug development. A key focus of the publication is translational medicine and the application of biological discoveries in the development of drugs for use in the clinical environment. Energy, Sustainability and Society is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It covers topics ranging from scientific research to innovative approaches for technology implementation to analysis of economic, social and environmental impacts of sustainable energy systems.Coverage includes concepts for discovering novel energy sources, energy mixes and energy systems requiring a large variety of technological solutions, sophisticated computer simulations, novel laboratory technologies, large-scale research facilities, as well as scenario development and national and international networks. 

The primary aim of Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) is to publish high-quality research, reviews and commentaries that substantially advance our understanding of environmental health science.

The environmental health sciences include a broad array of disciplines, from bench science to observational research. Our original research articles and commentaries typically come from the following disciplines, and include a focus on the implications of the work on human health:

Environmental Health Perspectives is an open access journal. All article publishing charges (APCs) will be waived for manuscripts submitted to the journal through the end of 2026.

The journal is identical in scope to Environmental Microbiology, shares the same editorial team and submission site, and will apply the same high level acceptance criteria. The two journals will be mutually supportive and evolve side-by-side. Recognized as a leading journal in its field, Fisheries Science is internationally respected for its publication of basic and applied research articles in a broad range of subject areas relevant to fisheries science. It has a long tradition of publishing quality papers in such important topics as Fisheries, Biology, Aquaculture, Environment, Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Food Science and Technology. Each volume includes an average of more than 180 peer-reviewed articles. Fisheries Science is the official journal of the Japanese Society of Fisheries Science.

Global Environmental Politics examines the relationship between global political forces and environmental change, with particular attention given to the implications of local-global interactions for environmental management as well as the implications of environmental change for world politics. Contributions to the journal come from across the disciplines including political science, international relations, sociology, history, human geography, public policy, science and technology studies, environmental ethics, law, economics, and environmental science.

The main part of each issue will be devoted to original research papers which should present new results of interest in the field of Fertility and infertility, ethical and social issues of assisted reproductive technologies, cellular and molecular biology of reproduction, including the development of gametes and early embryos, assisted reproductive technologies in model system and in a clinical environment, reproductive endocrinology, andrology, epidemiology, pathology, genetics, oncology, surgery, psychology and physiology. Emerging topics including cloning, the biology of embryonic stem cells are encouraged. The IJRM will also consider review, case report, short communication and letter to editor.

As climate change is happening and mankind is likely to increase its burden on the environment, European environmental politics and its legal implementation across an enlarged EU is becoming ever more important. The Journal for European Environmental and Planning Law provides a unique intellectual forum for debating and analysing European environmental policies and law. Its aim is to facilitate an enhanced Community wide common understanding of how European environmental policy and law are regulated, transposed and implemented in different Member States.

Emerging markets are affected both by the pace and sequencing of policy reforms. This requires special analytical tools to determine the behaviour of financial variables in an environment which is subjected to policy shocks. The Journal of Emerging Market Finance is a forum for debate and discussion on the theory and practice of finance in emerging markets. While the emphasis is on articles that are of practical significance, the journal also covers theoretical and conceptual aspects relating to emerging financial markets. Journal of Family and Economic Issues is an interdisciplinary publication that explores the intricate relationship between the family and its economic environment.
