The mission of the Dubai Medical Journal is to encourage innovative research by promoting original scientific research in the fields of medicine, health sciences, nursing, pharmaceuticals, and laboratory work in addition to women’s and children’s health. Nonclinical subjects related to medicine, especially ethics and complementary medicine as well as social and cultural observations, are also covered. As international as Dubai itself, the journal offers a global perspective, but also focuses on the United Arab Emirates. Partnerships with local and international medical and health authorities are envisaged.
The journal facilitates the dissemination of information through research articles, review articles, case reports, editorials, letters, book reviews, meta-analyses and commentaries. An educational corner will help to ensure continuous professional development and education. Besides this, the journal also offers a platform for controversies, mythology, and much more.

Scandinavian Journal of Caring Sciences is an established quarterly, peer reviewed Journal with an outstanding international reputation. As the official publication of the Nordic College of Caring Science, the Journal shares their mission to contribute to the development and advancement of scientific knowledge on caring related to health, well-being, illness and the alleviation of human suffering.The emphasis is on research that has a patient, family and community focus and which promotes an interdisciplinary team approach.Of special interest are scholarly articles addressing and initiating dialogue on theoretical, empirical and methodological concerns related to critical issues. Health Information Science and Systems is a multidisciplinary journal that aims to integrate computer science/information technology with health science and services, embracing information science research coupled with topics related to the modeling, design, development, integration, and management of health information systems.Health Information Science and Systems is an international, archival, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary, open access journal covering all aspects of the health information sciences and the systems that support this information. Articles emphasizing information management and knowledge representation/modeling issues that arise from the storage and use of health informatics will also be considered. System descriptions are welcome if they illustrate and substantiate the underlying methodology.

In one forum, Journal of Loss and Trauma brings together scholarship on personal losses relating to family, health, and aging issues. The journal addresses issues dealing with psychological and physical health and interpersonal losses relative to extended family, community life, and society as a whole. In order to broaden the reader's perspective on loss and bereavement, the journal defines loss as a major reduction in a person's resources, whether personal, material, or symbolic, to which the person was emotionally attached. Types of loss covered include: death and dying; dissolution and divorce; loss of employment; life-threatening diseases and long-term disability; loss of possessions; homelessness; recurring and haunting memories; disenfranchisement and stigmatization; losses resulting from war and violence; and aging. The journal aims to cover transport and health issues in all countries. Three particular aims of the journal are: to promote dialogue between the two research communities it serves; to improve the quality of data and the appropriate use of data; and to encourage transfer of research into practice.

Transport and Health Study Group (THSG)
JTH is formally affiliated with the Transport and Health Study Group (THSG). However, JTH is a scientific journal, and manuscripts submitted to JTH will therefore be considered on two factors - their scientific quality and the relevance of their content - and not on whether the study's findings conflict with current THSG policy. As the THSG prides itself on promoting evidence-based policies, there will be occasions when such policy needs to be reviewed because of emerging evidence.

BMJ Sexual and Reproductive Health publishes material on contraception, abortion, menopause, sexual and reproductive health, sexual dysfunction, sexually transmitted infection, clinical practice, and health education and training. We welcome submissions of research, reviews, and articles and commentaries relevant to all health care professionals working in the area of sexual and reproductive health. While it is not currently a requirement, we actively encourage patient involvement in the design, analysis and presentation of research.
