Neurotherapeutics® is the journal of the American Society for Experimental NeuroTherapeutics (ASENT). Each issue provides critical reviews of an important topic relating to the treatment of neurological disorders, written by international authorities.  The Journal also includes original research articles in translational neuroscience including descriptions of cutting edge therapies that cross disciplinary lines and represent important contributions to neurotherapeutics for medical practitioners and other researchers in the field. An international multi-disciplinary journal which is a joint initiative between the International Osteoporosis Foundation and the National Osteoporosis Foundation of the USA, Osteoporosis International provides a forum for the communication and exchange of current ideas concerning the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and management of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. It publishes: original papers - reporting progress and results in all areas of osteoporosis and its related fields; review articles - reflecting the present state of knowledge in special areas of summarizing limited themes in which discussion has led to clearly defined conclusions; educational articles - giving information on the progress of a topic of particular interest; case reports - of uncommon or interesting presentations of the condition. While focusing on clinical research, the Journal will also accept submissions on more basic aspects of research, where they are considered by the editors to be relevant to the human disease

There is an increasing amount of research in the parasitology area that analyses the patterns, causes, and effects of health and disease conditions in defined populations. This epidemiology of parasite infectious diseases is predominantly studied in human populations but also spans other major hosts of parasitic infections and as such this journal will have a broad remit. We will focus on the major areas of epidemiological study including disease etiology, disease surveillance, drug resistance and geographical spread and screening, biomonitoring, and comparisons of treatment effects in clinical trials for both human and other animals. We will also look at the epidemiology and control of vector insects.

The journal will also cover the use of geographic information systems (Epi-GIS) for epidemiological surveillance which is a rapidly growing area of research in infectious diseases. Molecular epidemiological approaches are also particularly encouraged.

Public Health Nursing aims to provide worldwide access to timely research and practice features of use to public health nurses, administrators, and educators in the field of public health nursing. Its scope is the range of population-based concerns and interventions in which nurses are involved. The journal emphasizes scholarship on vulnerable populations. Articles include research studies, program evaluations, practice concepts, and educational features published with the goal of replication and development, and theory, education, methods, policy, and ethical and legal papers that stimulate discussion and public debate. Authors from all disciplines are invited to submit manuscripts relevant to public health nursing. The journal publishes the highest quality empirical and theoretical research bearing on language as it is used in interaction. STEM CELLS welcomes original articles and concise reviews describing basic laboratory investigations of stem cells and the translation of their clinical aspects of characterization and manipulation from the bench to patient care. Gates Open Research publishes scholarly articles reporting any basic scientific, translational, applied and clinical research (including quantitative and qualitative studies) that has been funded (or co-funded) by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Gates Open Research is a publishing platform owned by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and uses technology and editorial services provided by F1000. Each publication must have at least one author who has been, or still is, a recipient of a Gates Foundation grant.

The fully open access platform enables authors to control the publication process themselves: submitted articles and their accompanying source data are published after a rapid set of objective checks, ensuring that basic scholarly publication policies and standards are adhered to. The published articles then undergo invited and open peer review (referee names and the referee report are published alongside the article). Authors can revise and update their articles when and how they wish. Articles that reach an adequate level of positive formal peer review will be indexed in PubMed and elsewhere.
