Crystallography Reviews publishes English language reviews of all aspects of crystallography. The main reviews are typically 20 to 80 pages long, with hundreds of references; and there are also book reviews. Topical reviews can be shorter (5000 words). The journal Current Issues in Language Planning provides major summative and thematic review studies spanning and focusing the disparate language policy and language planning literature related to: 1) polities and language planning and 2) issues in language planning. The journal publishes four issues per year, two on each subject area. Current Writing: Text and Reception in Southern Africa, published bi-annually by Routledge, covers recent writing and re-publications in South Africa as well as topical southern African issues; it presents literary-cultural debate from a southern African perspective. Current Writing: Text and Reception in Southern Africa is now the official journal of SAACLALS (the Southern African Association for Commonwealth Literature and Languages). Current Writing also presents the opportunity for contributors to continue and extend comparative connections between southern Africa - the initial focus of text and reception in Current Writing - and writing from other parts of Africa and the Commonwealth. Ecology and Evolution is the peer reviewed journal for rapid dissemination of research in all areas of ecology, evolution and conservation science. Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety focuses on integrated mechanistic research related to short- and long-term pathways and interactions of substances and chemical mixtures in environmental systems and subsystems on their bioavailability, and assimilation in organisms, as well as biological responses of these organisms, and damage mechanisms (endocrine disruption, genotoxicity); and on their subsequent fate in the environment, food chain, including humans. Novel technologies, techniques, and methods such as biomarkers, biosensors and bioanalytical systems, bioremediation methods, QSARs and QSPRs, advanced high performance computational methods, models, and their applications in obtaining and processing interdisciplinary ecotoxicological information are also addressed in the journal. We welcome the applied outcome of complex ecotoxicological research such as developing the science-based Environmental Quality Criteria (EQC), standard toxicity tests, techniques, and methods for ecotoxicological evaluation of the environment, as well as developing ecotoxicologically proven methods and technologies for prevention, interception, and remediation of human-induced damage to ecosystems. For cohesion, and because so many applications rely on various theoretical properties of finite fields, it is essential that there be a core of high-quality papers on theoretical aspects. In addition, since much of the vitality of the area comes from computational problems, the journal publishes papers on computational aspects of finite fields as well as on algorithms and complexity of finite field-related methods.

The journal also publishes papers in various applications including, but not limited to, algebraic coding theory, cryptology, combinatorial design theory, pseudorandom number generation, and linear recurring sequences. There are other areas of application to be included, but the important point is that finite fields play a nontrivial role in the theory, application, or algorithm.

Finite Fields and Their Applications is published four times per year and maintains very strict refereeing standards, accepting only those papers which receive excellent referee reports.

Food and Agricultural Immunology presents original immunological research with food, agricultural, environmental and veterinary applications. The primary focus of the journal is on the use of immunological techniques and methods which have food, agricultural or veterinary applications. History and Philosophy of Logic contains articles, notes and book reviews dealing with the history and philosophy of logic. 'Logic' is understood to be any volume of knowledge which was regarded as logic at the time in question. 'History' refers back to ancient times and also to work in this century; however, the Editor will not accept articles, including review articles, on very recent work on a topic. 'Philosophy' refers to broad and general questions: specialist articles which are now classed as 'philosophical logic' will not be published. The Editor will consider articles on the relationship between logic and other branches of knowledge, but the component of logic must be substantial. Topics with no temporal specification are to be interpreted both historically and philosophically. Each topic includes its own metalogic where appropriate. Each published article was reviewed by a minimum of two independent reviewers using a single-blind peer review process, where the identities of the reviewers are not known to the authors, but the reviewers know the identities of the authors. Life Writing, one of the leading journals in the field of biography and autobiography, has the unique and unusual policy of carrying both scholarly articles and critically informed personal narrative. The journal has three sections: Academic Articles, 8220;Reflections8221; and Reviews. In the Reflections section, we hope to find the reflective/discursive voice leading the minor theme of the autobiographical. However, fiction, ficto-memoir and poetry are not accepted.
